what he has done this year i wouldnt be sulkiing if he went . let him go to fulham and we get clint dempsey .

Why? So that we can bank a few more million and leave our squad short of our most prolific striker in years?

Our all time top scoring Premiership record goal scorer ever I do believe. ;)

I've been disappointed with Pete this season, but I also remember from past Premiership times how hard we found it to find the back of the net.  As it stands, he's still the only one in our squad who has done it with any regularity.

I'd certainly not like to see him go right now.

I couldn't see us selling him. He is still our best chance of knocking in 5-8 in the next 16 games

pete is a quality player, but unfortunately one who slips in and out of form at any given point...he's also a confidence player, and one that doesnt benefit from fan negativity or moaning and groaning at him.

ok he's got his bumper contract now and he's not playing well, but we need to get behind him, and show him support and faith when times are bad...not criticise him and want him out!

show him some love and he bangs in the goals!  for me he thrived off us with all the fans were bringing out banners welcoming him from moscow, and then later in the season when we had a new manager who showed some belief.

for me, it'd be suicide to sell him...he's a goal threat and has shown already this season can score a goal pretty much out of nothing!

I couldn't have summed it up much better myself....!!!! PO needs to play up top on his own.....I'm pretty confident he would hit double figures by end of season if he was given that chance...!!!

Albion were a football team before Peter Odemwingie, they'll be a football team long after he's gone as well.
He's offered very little this season to be honest.
On his day he's unplayable, at other times he's a waste of skin.

West Brom put £8m price tag on Odemwingie

West Brom have slapped an £8million valuation on Peter Odemwingie amid interest from Fulham and West Ham.

Promotion hopefuls West Ham are the latest club to enquire about the Nigerian striker (above), who was an unused substitute in the weekend win at Stoke.

Odemwingie has slipped down the pecking order at the Hawthorns after failing to repeat his form from last season when he bagged 15 Premier League goals.

But the forward’s price tag means he is likely to remain at Albion until the summer at least.

Albion boss Roy Hodgson has insisted Odemwingie is not for sale after only penning a new £35,000-a-week contract in August.

cant see the porn kings paying £8 mill plus 40k a week. perhaps they might try an exchange deal with carlton cole? cole to me is very similar to pete, unplayable on his day. what would people think of cole plus a couple of mill our way??

Do West Ham have £8mil?  Would he step down into the Championship?

I'd say no on both counts.

never say never. it looks like they will come back up so it would only be for 4 months plus the bright lights of london! it might sway some.

I would have took it at the start of the window but only a week left if he went for 8million we would only get Ridgewell in with the money and the rest would be saved to get rid of the 2million debt we have!

Pete signed a four year contract in the summer, which was ridiculous, given that he's 30. With three years and a half years on his contract, we could easily ask for upward of £8 million, I reckon. No-one will pay that much for a striker who hasn't really been on form this season, especially because he is ageing. Let's hope he can find some form this half of the season.

Sometimes a Pete moment of genius is all that stands between us and 3 points. It'd be unwise to sell him for anything other than silly money. I still believe that the change to 442, and the resulting lack of support from midfield has stunted Pete's form and goals tally this season.
We've gone on holiday by mistake!

He's been in and out of the team and relatively off form and has still won us quite a few points. Killed the Wolves game, won us Blackburn and Norwich. Done around the same as Long who people are saying has had a great season.

I would take 6-8 million though...
