Seems like the going rate for a player like him these days even though I do believe he is overrated by many.

Quite right. Even average players are going for silly money. I do actually rate O'Hara though. To think we payed almost the same for Valero who had virtually no impact in our side. I'd much rather have someone like O'Hara for that kind of money who's proved he can play at this level.

It may be because of when he scored that goal against us at home last season. ::)
We should point out that if it took that much quality/luck to score in an important match against the second worst defence in the league then they actually could need him. :D

Agreed, his goal against us and the one in the last game was the only reason they like him imo

Jody Craddock has signed a new one year deal at Wolves, I still think they need a better centre half.

I know they need a better centre half!

Still think they will end up with someone like Matt Mills or even Roger Johnson by the end of the summer - read somewhere that they have a big transfer pot this year  :(

I would have thought it would be less, given the fact they are building a new stand which surely has taken a huge chunk out of their finances

Wouldn't surprise me if Steve Morgan the Wolves chairman founds ways to do that the least expensive way with him being in the property business.

My dad had to drive past a number of times yesterday and he said the ground looks better without the stand! He said he doubts it'll be finished in time. I might have a look at the camera shots of it further in this thread.

I really hope they dont sign either Johnson, he is a very good centre half.

I think Wolves' chances of signing Roger Johnson are slim, think much bigger clubs will be interested and I also doubt they'll pay the £10million + which Birmingham are asking for.

If there was any truth in the link with Doyle and Arsenal it just shows which way Arsenal will be going next season. Sounds about as genuine as their reported interest in Odemwingie.

Nearly wet myself when I read this bit...

Quote
McCarthy has previously insisted it will take an offer of £50m to convince him to part with Doyle and will be determined to fight off Wenger’s interest.
