Going into the stoke game without fear
« Reply #15 on: August 20, 2011, 09:42:21 PM »
Yes, we have a bogey side next sunday at the hawthorns, but on the back on 2 irritating defeats, this is surely a game we feel we can get a result out of. If we play like we did today and last sunday, i truly believe we can break the deadlock this time round. Stoke are not world beaters, we just need to deal with their height and hoofball tactics. Get our taller players on the pitch, pablo etc would be good. This is a game i truly feel we can win, so lets kick our season into touch once and for all. COYB

Mostly bad ones!

I'm still scratching my head as to how we lost 3-0 at home last season  >:(

Our team definitely don't have anything to fear when we meet Stoke. We do have to respect them though as they are a tough side for anyone to beat. We've played well in the last 2 games against 2 of the worlds current biggest clubs. We should take heart from that, but we've got another tough game straight off the back of them.

We will beat Stoke again one day though so why not when our squad is looking as strong as it is and with a top manager in place?

We'll see, but it will be a tough game whatever happens.

If Roy goes in to this game with this view (which I know he won't) you'll lose quite simply.

1. Don't change your game plan to stop Stoke because it'll be a lot easier for Stoke to stop you

2. Before you go thinking about how to stop plan B concerate on how to stop plan A of Etherington and Pennant
