With glowing references coming from Brunt and the likes I can see him being out of work a little longer.

Depends on the clauses inserted after he left possibly. If the club are still paying him then he will be in no rush to gt another job until they stop paying him as I believe (maybe wrong on it) that they were paying Clarke until the Summer. Same sort of reason why Di Matteo has yet to get another job.

Did he galvanise the supporters though? The majority of fans I know and people I spoke to at games didn't seem to think much of him.

I can see him getting a job in the Spain second division or something, I can't see him getting another job in England or him being interested in one either.

Brunt commented that the atmosphere is much better under Irvine than at the end of last season BUT lets face it, confidence must have been very low before Pepe came in AND MacDonagh was ruffling several feathers by the sound of it AND can Pepe be blamed for not galvanising the dressing room when he'd have struggled to get himself understood. Given the circumstances he did well to keep us up (but it was all down to Downing of course  ::)

AND if the atmosphere is so good now lets hope Irvine and Brunt can promise us some rave performances on the pitch.

He was here watching our game on Sunday.

Maybe he's being lined up to replace father ted?
This time around we have players on the books who could play the high tempo pressing game he likes.
Then I woke up and realised the nightmare was real!  :(

Talksport have just said Moyes's move to Sociedad is the same as Pepe's move to West Brom - destined to fail.

Like who?

He'd have wanted a complete overhaul of the playing and coaching staff had he stayed. That was never going to happen which is why he ended up leaving.

We bought in 11 players anyway. Why couldn't they have been 11 players to fit the style Pepe wanted us to play?

They would have cost a lot of money I guess. I'm sure Pepe had his own ideas on who he wanted to bring in too. I also think that coaching staff was also an issue. I wasn't his biggest fan but he should have been allowed to bring in his own backroom staff as should any other coach.
