Can you imagine coming to a new club and division scoring a prolific 7 goals in 15 appearances and being considered rubbish by some of the "fans".
Personally I feel without MJ we would already have failed to make the play-offs he has had a huge impact since his arrival.

I imagine someone will be along to correct you on this in a minute while pointing out we have one of the strongest squads in the division. I'll be mildly disappointed if he doesn't in all honesty as he's been pointing it out to me for most of the season at any rate  ;D .
That depends  on to who you are referring some of our biggest critics only come out to play on Matchdays but it's all part of the baggies rich tapestry of fans   ;D

I feel we will put in a performance against Preston and claim the 3pts.

Let's totally disregard that he has spent nowt and had players like NC foisted upon him, then tried to get rid of him but even the mighty Israeli football scene didn't want this former England international now supposed to be in his prime (age wise).

Then because he has so little faith in him and realises his brilliant mf general cannot last a 50 game season he resorts to look for scraps on the freebie market and hopes YM is the same player who he had when he was 2 years younger.

He's cup runneth over and he definitely should be blamed for this very predictable collapse.

That made me smile

The concern I have held and fuel is being added to the fire on this  is that he will panic and make changes trying to continually fix things . I’ve nothing against M’Vila but he’s this seasons version of Tyrone Mears and  has ended up replacing Mowatt who has been one of our consistent performers .
Maybe something happened off the pitch we arne't privy to everything that happens, oh dear look atme speculating  ;)

Yes, very true. Only Kipre and Diangana are close to Premier League standard.

Palmer, Bartley, Townsend, Johnstone etc are all rubbish. Do you agree?
So a squad not good enough to even make the play-offs would that be the correct assumption ?

That's why i was asking the question what if he does? It's not unusual to want to find out answers to questions that bug people surely?
Yes, but as I said he's had little choice in law it would be circumstantial everdence not enough to convict  ;D

Because the rumours are that what he wants to do which would prove everyone's suspicions that he likes over 30s which is what most of us think are holding us back
How do we know that he had very little choice since he's been here?
He wanted to sign the kid who went to Forest the one who played under him at Huddersfield , wasn't he 20 something?

Usual dribble being spoken by some  I honestly think some of it is a pure wind-up.

What if he resigns the like of Reach etc?
Why speculate ?

Simple truth is the squad is old as many have pointed out with the exception of Fellows we have no one good enough in the stiffs to replace the oldies.
A major clearout required in the summer.

Been good majority of season when available. Played today like he couldn't give a toss though.

Parting of the ways time for me end of season.
Quite a few will be shown the door I suspect come the end of the season it's time for a rebuild.

I hope we get over the line today  because what with the weather being so cold and miserable the last thing I want is the class empty among us spreading their wave of doom and darkness over us all.

Be my dream for the top 6 to go to a Superleague & leave the rest of us
Who are the top six not so long ago Chelsea and Man Utd would be automatic picks?

ALL FA cup replays will be scrapped from the start of next season.
Such a shame the FA Cup has steadily been devalued part of it's glamour used to be when ties dragged on for 4 or 5 games that captured all fans interest not just those involved.

I would say from what people say behind the scenes about his character that he would certainly have been bothered in the knowledge that he cost us the game.
Was he laughing and joking ? if not then I would love to know what body language signals he was giving off that you could tell he wasn't bothered.

Baggie Boy I'm 70 and I swear with the best of them before the year 2000 anything was fair game and it was a laugh.
Fast forward 20yrs and football is like being in church political correctness drives me bonkers.
As you say football is a place or used to be where you could let off steam after a week's graft for me it's lost it's soul which is one of the reasons I no longer attend but don't think it's a generational thing all those oldies around you have behaved far worse than you can imagine be sure of that.

No, its a football thing, always has been, always will be. Some Man Utd fans used to criticise Fergie for example.

At one time it was reserved for the pubs and letters to the Sports Argus type papers, now with social media its more noticeable.

We have always had sections who have grumbles about things.
If it's a football thing then it has got worse I have been on this site since 2006 and without a doubt considering we have the best manager in a long time and look to be making the playoffs the level of moaning imo is ridiculous under the likes of Bruce understandable this season inexcusable.

A general question regarding Johnston and  all our wingers  would they perform better with a Dike type player in the middle ? it can't be easy trying to pick out BTA amongst towering centre-backs.
I do hope that type of player is top of our wanted list come the summer.

I would agree that Leeds, Leicester and Southampton have better squads but you have to say that McKenna has performed miracles in the last two seasons with a modest Ipswich set up. The difference is that he has had the support of the clubs owners. Hopefully CC will now get the same type of backing regardless of which league we are in next season.
Agreed, I know little about the Ipswich team but they clearly adapted well to the championship and don't seem to have any glaring weakness.
It go'es without saying that CC got diddly help from our previous owner.

Have we burnt out?
Only Norwich with any real momentum in the top six atm no one can afford to coast the last few games so a decent squad to interchange is priceless.

Some people are itching for him to fail. It really is weird.
No one is exempt from criticism on occasions or perfect (CC wouldn't be managing The Albion if so) but one or two on here are relentless. They'd feel they were proved right if we did collapse at the death
I feel reaching the play offs would be an achievement for CC the top four all have superior squads and realistically I feel it will be one of those four.
As you say should that happen I feel CC is going to get a lot of uncalled for flak and that will be as depressing as missing out in the play-offs.
