I hope the Ipswich fans who hounded out Mick McCarthy are happy with what they have

An even worse style of football which has ended in relegation

Caught on the break by a ruthless Norwich team and Pukki scores 2. If he were to be suspended or injured, the goals would dry up for them.

Ipswich put up no fight in the derby. Norwich flying at the minute

Don't know what game you were watching, but for me Ipswich were unlucky. If they could score goals that would have been a totally different result.

All Norwich relied on was the break, & Pukki,  they never really constructed anything.

IMO Albion are a far superior footballing side to Norwich.

If it was easy, it wouldn't be Albion

Not really, other than Bristol only Norwich have won more games (1 more) in the top six last 5 games.

9 on the bounce if you count their 2 fa cup games. They’ve not lost since 24th November either. 15 unbeaten, 11 of those wins.

Didn't they have a run similar last season then tail off ?

We'd need a run of 5-6 wins, something we've never really threatened to do this season. We just don't win enough games, we turn wins into draws/defeats far too often because of poor game management.

My point still stands. I posted this, then we go on to beat Stoke and chuck 2 points away against a poor Forest. Leeds, Norwich, Hull and now Bristol City have been on big winning streaks this season, it's not impossible. We've never threatened it, even when we were thumping the likes of QPR and Reading we never looked totally comfortable. Have we even won 3 in a row this season? I think we might have done it once, way before Christmas.

Three times we have had three game winning sequences in the League.
Beat Bristol City, Millwall and Preston North End at the end of September.
Leeds United, Ipswich Town and Swansea City in November.
Sheffield United, Rotherham and Wigan Athletic in December, that Wigan game being on Boxing Day.

All three sequences ending with a draw.

After this month we have a much easier run in than the others and hopefully a full fit squad. If we are still 4 points off 2nd I still think we will be 2nd by the end of March.

Leeds have to play us, Bristol, Reading, Millwall and Shef Utd that month to our, Ipswich, Brentford, Swansea, Blues. If the points dif is the same and we beat Leeds I can see us picking up another 2 points over them to pull level in March. Norwich look to have the best run in and I think are shaping up to win the league unless they hit a bad run of form.

I agree that if we are 4 points off second following the Leeds game we will be in an excellent position.

I also agree that Norwich look likely to win the title now, they have a good run of games and probably need another 8 wins plus 2-3 draws to do that and I think they will get them.

I think we need 7 points from the next 4 games to be in a good position for the run-in, any less than that then we'll have to make do with securing a play-off spot IMO.

If Swansea can get a goal I'd be happy enough if all the games ended as they are.

6 points off top with a game I'm hand against QPR next week. In the words of another member here. It makes the villa game must win. ;)

Definitely. If someone had offered me 6 points from  Forest and QPR I'd have settled for a narrow defeat against Villa. But not now.
