I'm sure you'll find a few baggies fans in the British army posts in Germany. My brother lives in padder born and finds baggies fans hard to come by. Says there's a few dingles he works with thou, he was once firing from a tank in training and the shell loader ( a dingle ) put his baggies top in with the shell without him knowing and gave me bro the go ahead. To which he fired his own top into a million pieces down the range. he was gutted.

Yessir. I'm working on the locals down at Danny Coyle's (http://www.dannycoyles.com/). The European ex-pats are pretty much a lost cause, since they already have their EPL teams, but the Quakes supporters are fertile ground.   ;)

Hi or should I say Gruess dich, if you're German..
I live in England but often travel in Germany. Obviously most Germans can only really talk about the usual suspects Man U, Liverpool etc. but my VW has a proud WBA sticker just to spread the name recognition.  If you're coming over for a game we could meet up for a pint...
I'm usually in the west and have been to see Gladbach a few times.  If you're in Hamburg do you also watch Hamburger SV?

Und zingen, "Eins Zoltan Gera, es gibt nur eins Zoltan Gera!"

An (ex) "friend" of mine is getting married near Cologne on the weekend of the Albion v Wolves match >:(  so there will be an extra supporter over there that weekend!)

Do they show the Premiership as live over there (I have delayed the flight back hoping that this is an option)?

I plan to go over for the game but think Sky Germany shows the game...Many Irish pubs in Cologne show the game too...

I bought some rental flats in Germany (Berlin) as a retirement prospect as I have no positive pension plans here. That was back at the end of 2006. The CEO of the sourcing agency I used was quick to tell me "WBA rule in the NL OK!", citing of course Guinna Zuiverloon and Ryan Donk!
We rarely ever need to chat now but we usually talk football! He supports PSV Eindhoven, and he always asks about the Baggies!

Servus!

BAGGIESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!

Good to hear from you. Bit of an uphill struggle telling your countrymen about a club if it never gets any coverage in your media. Suppose it depends on whether you can pick up BBC or Sky. .On the WBA name recognition, it's interesting to google west brom etc in different countries Google, just to see what it throws up. In german i.e.google.de a fair amount is linked with Paul Scharner because of the same language.
Have you noticed big similarity between the Black Country and Ruhr district? Both old industrial conurbations, both with 2 clubs who play in blue and white and gold and black. With the one exception  that the blue and white club over here is the vastly superior one.  :)
Let me know in advance if you want to meet up for a pint, not that I'm much of a pub expert for the West Brom area!

hing about the Black Country and Ruhrgebiet.
Good luck to the HSV! Know how much you all love Bayern  ;D
