been on Stoke forum & to be fair most of their fans (well the intelligent ones) seemed to be condemning the freak.

also noticed how they're complaints about the quality of football (& I'm using the word quality in the loosest possible way) they play are not to  dissimilar to some of the posts on this site mmm! just an observation...

saw on SSN it is being investigated by the FA and they are waiting for the referees match report. This should mean it is punished as i do not think the referee even saw it.

The club won't pursue as that'd make us look like we were out for revenge, and give the potters something to moan about and create tension between the clubs next time we meet.
If the FA are looking at it, then great. Hopefully they'll punish him accordingly, but I said at the time and concur with those on here who say that was a much more sensible and calm Olsson than we're used to.
If he had of gone down but the ref hadn't seen it there might have been a yellow at best - this way the FA can act retrospectively 8)

I loved Liamthebaggie and Vince Pinner's quotes.

I'm a Stafford based Baggies who has worked in Stoke. I like a lot of Stoke fans on a individual basis.

But then again half the Britannia Stadium crowd were Manchester United fans until 2008. I hate the idea they call United 'the sh*t' as if Stoke are Liverpool, Man City or Leeds. I hate their smugness, our defeat at home in April 2009 under Mowbury was one of my worst experiences as an Albion fan. They play Derby next weekend & will take over 5,000 supporters there but their last trip to Pride Park in the Championship they took less than 1,000 although it's only down the A50 from them or a direct train ride away.

I'd say I hate them more than Wolves.

glory hunters, they had poor support in the championship,  in 07/08 they only just filled half of our away end, same in 03/04, they are fickle, Pulis was god the other week, now there slaggin him off, he has took them a long way

That is absolutely pathetic, cowardly, and he's really made a joke of himself. Thought he was a decent guy but any guy worth his salt wouldn't tamely poke a guy in the eye from behind and run off. Laughable

I think he will get a ban and very much deservedly so.  If he doesn't get one, he should!!

It's a pity the likes of Manchester United will benefit from it though, not us the club he committed the offense against.

If the FA aren't planning to take action against Crouch then we should all ask: WHY NOT!! Even the so-called tough men of rugby are cited for such cowardly incidents.

I think that this incident is systematic of Albions approach to referees they don't expect to get decisions and therefore don't even bother approaching refs. Although the discipline aspect of that is to their credit and t will not make a ref change a decision it may open his eyes as to what is happening on the pitch. Can you imagine the publicity if Stoke had been playing one of the top teams and this had happened.

Just shows how inconsistent the whole thing is.

Crouch = Shocking should be done
Lescott = Another shocker should be done

Balotelli = 50/50 In my opinion, was off balance and only his reputation got him done. This was by far the lesser of the three. English player bias anyone?
It is a mistake to theorize before one has the facts. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.

Roy said this morning he did not see the incident and has not viewed any video evidence so far. Also not one player mentioned it after the match.

Will the FA persue it, i doubt it

I don't think its English player bias, more just down to reputation.

Really wish I could have gone but could only afford one match this month ...so I "wisely" chose the Norwich home game...d'oh!

From what I've read in papers and saw on MOTD we were by far the better team. I was surprised to see Fortune start but it looks like he had a good game, Mozza looked well up for it and I was pleased for Dorrans getting the winner especially as I've been critical of him recently. Well played lads...now do it at home!

Colin Murray on MOTD2  did comment on Stoke's penalty...he said ...."and somehow Stoke got a penalty"...which I took to mean that he could see that it was a perfectly good tackle...like everyone else apart from the ref.
