Not so sure - no striker at all. Can’t see us scoring tonight. Hope to be wrong.

Should be a more cohesive attacking unit without him stifling us at least so gives us the best chance

2
No BTA! We might actually score  ;D

Dreading tonight after witnessing that Norwich performance. Just pray we turn up and give the best account of ourselves, win, lose or draw, I will be happy if we at least do that against a very good side.

Praying we win of course though  ;D

Bomber said last weekend, it's rare for a team to beat another 3 times in one season.

How many times did we beat the Dingles in the 2006/07 season?  ;D

Wagner sacked hours after Norwich lose to Leeds!!

Can't blame them really, never rated him as a manager and was fearful when we were linked with him a few years back

Absolute battering. I hope we don’t go through the motions like Norwich have here

I doubt his stock will be higher than it currently is so I cannot see another loan being acceptable to Celtic unless it contains an option to buy.

8
Completely agree. He's been fantastic, him and Fellows have Completely transformed us as an attacking threat. If only we had the right type of centre forward to compliment them.

Mikey is a player I'll be keeping my eye on. I hope he goes on to have the career his raw talent deserves.

Next season feels like a pivotal one for MJ and a big decision for him as to where he goes, if he does leave Celtic. He's not a youngster anymore at 25, and it surprises me that people seem to speak about him as if he is 20/21 so he needs to make the right move for the sake of his career kicking on after his purple patch with us.

Fury will knock him spark out

Not so sure, but I hope he does. Jingoism and all that

I would agree with JMullen95 that I have serious concerns about the sort of fee that would be commanded for him and would hope, particularly with our finances, that this would rule us out of bringing him in permanently.

He’s been a revelation for us, but I would not want to see us spend a fortune on him

Tom definitely deserves better from all the skillful crosses he puts in.

Oh for Dike to be able to stay fit. They would make for quite the combination

In CC I will always trust and if he feels he is nowhere near the level yet then I back him on it, but there will always be that little bit of me thinking Maja would be a better option to have sat on the bench than Weimann who I don't think CC will bring on unless absolutely desperate. If we are 1-0 down on Friday, I would like to have a Maja to bring on with 10 minutes to go in case anything drops in the area.

Hopefully, next season, whatever division we are in, we will get to see the real Josh Maja with a full preseason under his belt

Proud of the performance and felt they all left everything out there on the pitch, which is all you can ask for. Southampton, sadly, are just a very good side and you could see yesterday why I have been saying for weeks that we would be best avoiding getting them over two legs compared to Leeds who are always likely to capitulate despite the very good players they possess.

The main issue we face, as has been the case all season, is being able to rely on individuals to score in the big moments and the chances we create. There is no point in picking BTA up front because in the crunch moments he just always gets it wrong. Early on in the game, we break and all he has to do is slip the ball through to a teammate who will be clean through on the keeper and he just shoots straight at the defender from 30 yards. He isn't good enough. I know that people like his endeavour, but now is the time for everyone to just accept that he cannot be selected in important games. Just put Wallace up top where we have looked much better and try and play like we did at Leicester but hope that the front players take the chances we create.

14
Tough going, they are just a very good side man for man and we don’t have the quality in the final third where we are desperate for it. BTA had to slip in MJ/Fellows for that one near the start instead he tries to shoot from 30 yards. Fellows hasn’t really been in the game as yet, may look to bring Wallace on for him if he doesn’t get going early second half

15
Pray for BTA to have his one good performance of the season. We need it

16
Very nervous. About to head off.

Wouldn't you rather have them over 2 legs than say potentially a final and a neutral venue with a big pitch? I think if we can get through I'd much rather play Norwich or Leeds in the final.

I would back CC to outwit any other manager in a one off game, so I would much prefer to play them at Wembley, or not at all if that were an option.

Worry about the final if/when we get to it, my focus would be on the two legs before that and Southampton are the worst team we could have ended up with for those.

We have to keep SmethDan entertained somehow  ;D

Saints were the one side in the play-offs I didn't want - the type of side I hate us playing against. That game at The Hawthorns under lights haunts me as they gave us a bit of a footballing lesson. I pray its not the same Sunday because if we don't go to St Marys with a lead then we'll be as good as done in my view.

Echo this entirely. Would have fancied Leeds with their drop off and the fact I back CC to outwit Farke. Martin has proven already with 4 wins out of 4 against us that this is going to be a very tough ask and I am really not confident in the slightest

21
I wasn't at either game so will bow to the (perceived) wisdom of SmethDan entirely on this one  ;D

Awful news. I remember him fondly.

RIP Paul and best to your family.

For what it's worth I read an article on Russell Martin in one of the papers a while back.
A lot focused on his childhood and how his father had a seriously bad gambling habit and often mistreated Martin's mother...but he did support Martin in his football development. As is usually the case there's a human being in there.

Yes, a fairly horrendous one in this case  ;D

They lost to a Cardiff team that got thrashed by Rotherham. If we get our gameplan right I am confident we can take a lead going into the second leg. 2-0 would be fantastic but I reckon it will be a tight 2-1

We go in as the underdogs and I think that will work in our favour all the pressure will be on Soton and we saw how they crumbled in the league when the pressure was on them to close the top two.

We are going to need to take the chances we get, which is what concerns me as the striker we are likely to be playing misses chance after chance. They are certainly not infallible and I think we were on the receiving end of their backlash for their first loss in 25 games when we played them at home earlier in the season so that may skew perception somewhat of how good they actually are. The away game was a better barometer I think and, if it wasn’t for Townsend completely switching off at the back post, we would have drawn that game

Really Atomic?
He must stay in the team cant understand your thinking on that one mate

I mean, he has championed Conor Townsend for years so go figure  ;D

I think with Grady, most people can see that the talent and the ability so you just hope/expect for him to kick on and put on a run of consistently brilliant performances which we all know he is capable of, but it doesn’t seem to happen so it is always just frustrating, but even when he isn’t hitting those standards, he is still affecting games and having an influence no matter how frustrating he can be.
