I recall going to the match with my late brother, I was filled with much trepidation and he was so very positive. It was a cracking game against a team, managed by a man with legend status, who were flying in the league and in the cups.
We were in the Halfords Lane stand (yes, I know what you’re thinking and you’re probably right) and I recall seeing Barry Davies climbing ladders at the back of the stand and walking across some scaffolding planks above our heads to get to his commentary position, always liked Barry Davies as he said nice things about us.
