Hodgson's away record
« on: May 22, 2011, 07:57:38 PM »
"Since taking charge of West Brom, Roy Hodgson has taken more points away from home than any other side (9)"

Just thought this fact was worth a mention of it's own mainly because many worried before he came about Roy's poor away record and possible negative tactics. Bodes well for next season, as winning away from home will get you climbing the table.

His away record in the Premier League was one of my main concerns when he got the job, swear I saw a stat somewhere saying he had only won 13 away PL games before he got the job here.

Those 9 points and only 1 defeat have played a massive part in us finishing where we have done.

i think our most amazing stat is how many points we have amassed from a losing position, i remember a few seasons ago we were a laughing stock as we had never come back from a losing position and won, oh how the tides have turned. Teams wont enjoy playing us from this season on.

Agreed. The character we have shown all season is something to be admired. So proud to be a baggie

27 Pointed gained from losing positions. 6 wins, and 9 draws in that.

The most in the Premier League since Newcastle gained 33 points in the 2001/02 season.

A few more stats:

West Brom
* Roy Hodgson's West Brom have picked up exactly the same number of points (20) as Liverpool from their last 12 games of the season.
* The Baggies have a better record against top-half sides than either Chelsea or Manchester City.
* They have picked up a massive 27 points from losing positions this season.
