A Cardiff City fan has fallen from the tip tier of the New Den, which is about 20ft.  The man is in a stable condition.

How has he managed that, unless he was giving it large and ended up being carried over by hundreds of fans behind him. If thats the case then its his own fault.

speakin to someone who's a STH at the den, he spent all his time up until the fall inciting the wall fans and trying to goad them into something, they said he hadnt even looked at the pitch just stared and gestured at the stand. he was standing on the balcony of the upperr tier and lost his footing.

stupid.

own fault.

I hope it hurts him then, he'll learn football is for football, not boxing.

He was celebrating a goal they had just scored and in his exuberant state stumbled and went over.  How about getting the facts straight before comments of 'it was his own fault' and hoping that it 'hurts'.  His lucky to be alive.

I see jason marriner and andy frain were sentenced last week for fights against cardiff, coming out after all those years for just one match and getting two years a piece, marriner has kids and is married to, kind of surprised they didnt get longer with their history.

Cant defend them when its happened before a game at least after you could say the result has got them wound up.

So why do "fans" of the winning team get involved then?

I just don't get it! Middle aged blokes with kids ffs.

Like you say got a chip on their shoulder and have very unfufilling lives, i find it quite quite sad and embarrassing when i see middle aged blokes smashing up a train every week with people on it mainly mothers with small kids.

Theres a few stories disagreeing with your view of it as well. Looks like he was giving it the big one all game, cut throat gestures the lot and then when they scored stood on the barrier and either fell off or was pushed by his own fans running forwards.

So the comment about getting facts straight seems to apply to a few of the stories as they all contradict each other.

At the end of the day no matter how it happened it wasn't nice and not something i'd like to witness personally.

I was posting the comment if what Mike said was true. I've heard many stories myself say he was there for the majority of the game goading the Millwall fans. If he acted sensibly, even when they scored he wouldn't of ended up in the trouble he's in. I too go mental when we score a goal but I don't put myself or anybody else in any danger.
