Deserved it for the defending second half no thanks to the 'legend' Terry

Very impressive discipline from the Chelsea players after Terry was sent off. Barca, of all teams, had no ideas how to tear down the Chelsea defensive wall.

What a funny game! I said to myself if Messi missed the penalty Chelsea would win, can't believe they did though!
I've got those West Bromwich Blues!

Love the Sky Sports info nugget: 3 years ago to this day Di Matteo, lost 1-nil to Walsall in League one. Unbelievable game.

Crazy. What a job Roberto has done with Chelsea after AVB was sacked. Who would have believed it at the time?

Reminded me of the away game at Blackpool last season, red card, he give himself a time to think about what to do, got it brilliant in this game and the Blackpool game, just got the result in this game.. Bosingwa and Ivanovic looked better than Cahill and Terry, they never found a way through the mid defence in the second like they did the first 20 minutes or so.

Very happy for Matteo and Newton, don't care about the others..

I'm sure I've just dreamed that.

Absolutely fantastic defensive performance. Incredible. I said it was game over as soon as Iniesta scored. Probably one of the best team performances I've ever seen in my lifetime.

Just waiting now for the media to Bash West Brom over sacking RDM. They can do one, look at Avran Grant in 2008 2nd placed finish and a Champions League Final, he follows this up by relegating 2 clubs. Not saying RDM is a bad manager but am sick to death of glory hunters and the cockney media giving us a hard time.

I agree.

I'm so happy for RDM don't get me wrong - as long as the media stay clear of the WBA sacking I'll stay that way.

10th place and 1 point from Liverpool - they havent got a leg to stand on - we could not have finished much higher with Jesus in charge.

Superb display from RDM and the Chelsea boys tonight, well done.

Theres some nasty comments about John Terry on here but have a look again at his so called offence, in the Prem he would at most got a "stern" yellow.

I am so glad a gritty prem side turned over that bunch of pampered pansies.

It was just great to see the under-dogs go and cause an upset more than anything, whilst playing some pretty obscure football at times with the likes of Drogba and Ramires playing as wing-backs.

I doubt he'll win the final - but I said the same vs Barca. I just think it's a step too far, and with 4 key players out they will struggle. That said, Cahill and Luiz should be fit, and there's an undeniable grit about the team which keeps going. It would be great for Di Matteo and Newton to win.
