Sorry to be that guy but Sheffield United still had 75 mins to score in that game, Yes it was terrible use of the technology. Watford sacking Nigel Pearson for no real reason with 2 games to go was the problem. Plus Villa beat Arsenal unexpectedly

You can't use technology when it hasn't been turned on and checked. As for the 75 minutes remaining so what? Sheffield United could have scored four more and had them all disallowed. They didn't score four more and have them disallowed. But they definitely scored one in the first fifteen minutes which could have changed the shape of the game as Villa would have had to attack more leaving gaps for a counterattacking side.

We have no idea whether Pearson would have kept Watford up or whether a counterattacking Sheffield United would have hit Villa on the break. But we do know Sheffield United scored and that's why it still rankles. And besides it's Villa. Don't waste your time spoiling a good narrative by trying to be all philosophical about what didn't happen. Concentrate on what did happen and never forget it's Villa we're talking about, the spawniest of the spawny  ;) .

Feb 2017 we was close to the Europa League and they were close to League 1

It's just tragic

Don't remind me of that season the collapse after we reached 40 points still annoys me. All the motivation ran out once we hit that mark and signs of what to come the following season.

All of this because goal line technology failed to work. Sickening...

More like the scum didn't switch it on.

Anyway I have loved their last 2 results and long may this streak continue.

Wouldn't have been a great weekend if we'd held onto our lead.

Must be absolutely gutting to take the lead and get all excited about an away win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium only to get fisted up to the elbow and concede four with no reply. Utterly devastated for them.......
