I think the problems we are having this season are purely down to the lack of a striker who can put the ball in the net.  We have only stayed in this league in; 04-05 (Earnshaw 11 goals), 10-11 (Odemwingie 15 goals), 11-12 (Odemwingie 10 goals) and 12-13 (Lukaku 17 goals).  If you don't have that player who is going to hit double figures, in my opinion, you're asking for trouble.  In the current squad, I don't think we have a striker who can get to double figures and we may pay the price come May.  Berahino definitely has the potential, but can you put the pressure of a relegation scrap (we are only two points above the bottom three) on the shoulders of a young player?  Now, I'm not suggesting that the club puts its future in doubt by going mad in the transfer market and paying way over the odds for players, but surely for the initial 9 million paid out on Anichebe and Sessegnon (both who have poor scoring records), we could have found a striker to fit the bill?
