Phil Hay of the Athletic (formerly the Yorkshire post) reporting that Leeds and Southampton are discussing the possibility of Che Adams joining them. Southampton board want to do the deal (Â£1 million loan fee plus obligation to buy) but Hasenhuttl still wants to keep him.

Got to hope Ralph wins that battle of wills, but if you see Southampton linked to any forwards in the next few weeks, expect Adams to end up at Leeds. Would be the ideal signing for them.

As well as Brentford are playing (let's not forget they lost 1-0 to Millwall a few weeks ago) they have 5 very tricky fixtures up next.

Huddersfield away
Forest Home
Hull City away
Boro at home
Leeds at home

IF we can get maximum points from our home games with Stoke and Luton and not lose away at Millwall and Reading then we might have a bit more of a gap before our home game with Forest on 15th Feb.

Forest late winner being quickly cancelled out by Reading was a little blessing for us. Seem to be going under the radar and still have that game in hand. Will hope to keep our disrance from them before we play as well.

Connor Gallagher moving to Swansea on loan according to Masi. Not sure how they fit their new loan army in to their team, but they are now a threat for the second half of the season.

Eddie Nketiah staying at Arsenal according to the Athletic. Good news really as it keeps him from Sheffield Wed.

Hassenhuttl has apparently won the Che Adams battle and convinced Saints not to sell him. Leeds are now looking at Andre Gray from Watford though, who you would back to score for fun in the final 4 months of the season.

Hope they end up having to gamble on a player from abroad really.

Also rumours that Leeds have lodged a bid for Bowen at Hull.

Brentford now working on a deal to bring Jonathan Okita in from the Netherlands. If we were linked I wouldn't be fussed by him going on his goal scoring record, but Brentford have a habit of signing very good strikers from the continent who are well suited to the championship.

If we had a good couple of scouts or representatives in Europe, it would save us a bucketload in transfer fees later after they have been discoverd by the English market.
It seems like Slaven and his Croat assistants are our sole representatives in Europe.
