Same here regarding John Terry. If things don't go well for Smith, he will distance himself from blame whilst prowling in the background ready to jump into his shoes.

Beware the Ides of March, Mr. Smith.

I wonder if he'll do that thing he did with Chelsea in the European Cup Final where he was in the stands in his suit during the game then as soon as they win the cup he instantly morphs into John Terry with his full kit and boots on
My old man always said 'You can't educate pork!'

I've nothing against Smith except I believe he was a vile fan as for Terry like others I really don't like the bloke.

Darren Moore was a vile fan too, but not as fanatical and Smith and all his family.

I wonder if Smith had taken the job our place last summer, would he have jumped ship for the vilest.

On another note the 300k reported compo for Smith is cheap imo, he must have insisted on it in his last contract extension.

interesting post on a Boro fans forum shows a tweet from Brentford after they beat Blues 0-2 in Nov 17 that suggests Smith is a Blues fan. Might be mischief making though.

Smith is definitely a Villa fan. One of my Villa mates went to school with him and used to go up there with him.

That's what I thought, everything I've ever read about him (not that I've read much mind) has stated that he grew up in a Villa household and supported them which is why the tweet from Brentford is a bit odd (if it is genuine)

Yup, grew up in a vile household in West Bromwich.

Should be a law against that!!!!

Saw this about the Lerner years at Seal park

https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-nfl-owner-who-got-chewed-up-by-english-soccer-1543587247

My reaction was mainly mirth and had not realised he got tattoo of the club crest on his ankle which just makes it doubly funny. Best line in the whole piece

The only problem was that the Premier League equation for success—spend money, improve the team, never see that money again

Yep welcome to the madness

A Viler on Radio WM in the week said he thinks that they will finish in the top 2 along with Forest who will come from nowhere to gain automatic.
The same Forest that are 2 points ahead of them.

Villa are half the team without Grealish, not sure how bad his injury is.

All this bluster about John McGinn.  Probably an above average Championship player nothing more.

Grealish makes them tick, the focal point, the creative force.

Starting to look a bit desperate for them to make Top 2.

How are Villa able to blatantly flaunt PFF rules? Again if they don’t make it up this season the’d be in serious trouble in the summer.

That's an easy one, they invented football (apparently), I thought everyone knew that  ;) .
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.
Oh, and always remember to defecate on those Vile chaps in claret and spew.

I've always found any Villa defeat tremendously beneficial for my spiritual well being especially when they lose at the seal sanctuary in front of their legions of fickle fair weather casuals.

I too felt the urge to kick back and peel a grape when their Roofe fell in at the end.

Didn't have any grapes so I laughed my b@ll@cks off instead.

Improvise, overcome and adapt.

DM has clarified his position regarding the vile.

He said he used to go there because they gave his school free tickets.

However, he watched us train at his school as we used their astro turf pitch in bad weather.

Doesn't sound like he was a vile fan really.

Hats off to you sir.
You could pass as the Bear Grylls of the football supporting world with that type of improvisation. If I'm ever grapeless after a Viler defeat in future then testiclar strangulation it is.

He also said before the game, it would be a full house, actual figure 30,000 approximately. And their new keeper looks iffy to me, responsible for two of the goals imo
