They were let down massively by the red card which made it even harder against a side who keep the ball for fun. They’ll be fine.

Did anyone see Kipre's handball? Well the referee somehoe didn't. I know it's said all the time but the officiating in this league is horrendous.

Wigan Athletic have failed to pay their players on time for a third time with members of the squad considering their futures.

Does this mean they can cancel their contracts?

I think player salaries are practically guaranteed due to the football creditors rules. I think because of this they have to go three months without pay before they can rip up their contracts. Even if they could do it now, I suspect you wouldn’t until Jan when you can be registered to play for someone else.

Thanks JC. If they got to the point where they could rip up their contracts surely they would be classed as free agents and someone else could sign them as such?

I'm not sure you can even sign if you've been signed somewhere since the window closed. Thats why some players get released on deadline day so it doesn't make them illegible. Even if you could sign, you couldnt be registered until Jan so wouldn't be able to play. Thats my understanding anyway.

Just watched Blues-QPR 2-0.  Blues defended well despite being under almost constant pressure second half. Ruddy saved pen.

We are now rock bottom of the championship, Huddersfield are winning, how much more depressing can it get for us?

Tim Iroegbugnam looks good for QPR.

Instantly commentators mention how many good young players WBA have lost  ;D

Yea I think we lost out on a very good one there infuriating to think we could have him & Field starting for us. Not saying he’s going to get anywhere near his level but Iroegbugnam’s style reminds me a little of Patrick Viera. Comfortable with the ball and glides past players without too much effort.
