So Watford sack a man who's team were 5th in the Championship!

Apparantly the performances and the underlying stats suggest they wouldn't hsve stayed there much longer. A good group of players who should be top 2.

I know the rent money helps, but have you seen the state of some of the pitches, due to Rugby teams using them

Swansea's pitch is like a ploughed field, and the pitch at Brentford's new stadium is getting there

Same complaints were made after both the NFL and Challenge cup final took place at Wembley ahead of either an England Game or a Spurs Game. Lucky old Albion don't share a ground with the Blackheath Rugby team if it is the Blackheath West Midlands area and not the London one. Edit they are London based which means lucky us don't have to share a pitch with anyone unless Wednesbury need a bigger ground for a final or something

We can't be forced to share the stadium. It would be our choice to make extra revenue.

We wouldnt. There is no money for us to make in sharing our ground for rugby purposes given their is no immediate rugby club near us.

Wednesbury 1st XV play in the Midlands 3 West North league according to their website. That is the 8th tier of English rugby.

That is the equivalent of two leagues below the Conference North if it were football. I think that's the level that Halesowen Town play at. It's just not comparable to creating a  working partnership.

Moseley rugby club used to be the best in Birmingham, and they play in the 3rd tier of the English system.

As Liam says, it's not something we need to worry about

The Hawthorns would never be ground shared for the sake of 30 rugby fans and a few whammels.

I always spelt it wammels with an "e" as well Clive and found this reference:

"A wammel is a mongrel or mangy dog, and sometimes a word for any animal. Apparently it comes from am Old English word hwaemelec."

Did you get hwaemelec from the Carl Chinn article?

I'm imagining it felt more like a year and a half as opposed to a month and a half for the supporters. They want to think themselves lucky to have been unable to attend games in person. Every cloud has a silver lining and all that.

I'd imagine any pay off will be deferred given they've not been able to pay the players. Would it be better for tax purposes to defer to the next financial year given he'll have paid tax on his earnings whilst with Sky?
