Our run of games in February are a daunting prospect

Our run from November through to early December looked daunting and we won every one, while thebrun through December and Jan looked straightforward yet we lost 3 (two to sides battling relegation) and didn't win in 7.

The fixtures do contain some decent sides but we are arguably playing Milwall at a better time now with them having failed to win in the last 2, while Bristol City and Preston are currently only play off contenders. Notts Forest will be the big game, then we have relegation battlers Wigan.

It's a chance to actually hurt some of our rivals, hopefully with a reinvigorated team.

What else do you suggest?

Tafazolli goal...

would it have gone in if the Keeper hadn't touched it?

Forest v Leeds on Saturday

I think out the both we could do with a Leeds win really?

Lesser teams we have closer the better right ?

A Leeds win is definitely the best result from this , it’s the team in 3rd that we have to worry about not the team in second as regards automatic promotion. I would settle for a draw though as long as forest don’t win

Leeds and us had unbelievable form. They we both fell apart while the teams below had a great run. I’m hoping the ebb and flow of the league means that we will start to regain form while teams below go cold.

Leeds win for me.

Like the last few posts, a Leeds win suits me more. It would mean two Forest losses in the trot and might lead to a mini slump, plus our main issue throughout the season has been the chasing pack rather than Leeds.

That said, a draw also wouldn’t hurt.

Ha Ha sorry mate , I only had a quick look at the highlights and thought that the Hull player  had hit the ball back to his own player. Of course you are correct,  not and own goal.
In fact if that's an own goal, then our own SJ, has had a couple of those  ;)

Blues do us a favour stopping Bristol narrowing the gap at the top. Excellent 3rd goal from Jutkowicz.

Glad Blues did us a big favour tonight, but alarming to remember that the side in 6th place tonight, having just lost, are still only 6 ppints behind us. We had a chance to open up a 15 point gap on third and yet now we are a few losses away from dropping outside the play off places.

Sunday's game is must win.

No game is a must win unless there's no way back from not winning.

After we beat Blues we were 12 points clear of third and 14 points clear of 7th. 8 games on we are now 4 points clear of third and 9 points clear of 7th. Because of our superior goal difference we would have to lose our next 4 and Preston win their next 4 and even then we might still not slip out of the play-offs depending on how other teams below us perform over that period.

Even only 5 points from the next 5 matches followed by beating Wigan at home at the end of the month would still keep us within a couple of points off automatic at worst.

I think it's must win in the sense of momentum. Last last week, we finally got our first win in 8 games. If we draw or lose tomorrow, that win will simply have been an easy 3 points vs the worst side in the division, plus you can realistically expect that our slender lead over the reat will havr been eroded to nothing.

A win tomorrow however reinforces that our bad run is over and that we are once again regaining form. I really do believe tomorrow is one of the key games of our entire season. It will be a make or break game. Lose, I struggle to work out when the form will ever pick uo, but win, and there will be a sense that the new signings gave reinvigorated us.
