Speaking of managerial Achilles Heels, Luton are losing again. This time at Hillsborough.

Another ‘lucky’ goal no doubt....

I think Luton are going to get bored with Jones rather quickly

He's too arrogant to learn.
He know everything.
That will ultimately be his down fall

Think Fulham will be top 2.

Teamwise its very strong for this division, Parker even though he's inexperienced he should be able to steer them to a top 2 finish. Mitrovic, Caveliro, Knockhaert, Cairney, Johansen, Arter are all good players for this division. Seems a similar scenario to us last year in terms of squad and manager but I don't think they have an assistance coach like Jones  ;D

Luton will go down if they don't change the way they play which we know from experience, they wont.
Couple of more bad results for Stoke and I can see them getting rid of their manager.

Win tonight for us could see us go top, although I think it will be a tough game against a decent Reading team.

Watching Charlton v Forest, the only 2 chants I can hear are the Allez Allez Allez chant and the one to exactly the same tune as our Bilic chant.

When did football go this way? When did we all become santinsed, mass produced lemmings, with no originality. When did terrace culture and the array of imaginative football chants die? F****** depressing.

Leko with an assist. Apparently playing well.

Leko getting to the byline and putting crosses in at will first half. Harder to judge Field as it means paying more attention to the game when I want to watch us, but they have dominated and had loads more possession so boads well. Good to see them doing well so far.

Fulham and Leeds clearly the danger sides in this division, while Swansea also seem to have found some cutting edge in this early stage.

Hoping we can be the slightly late bloomers like Norwich last season, but will be tough to challenge top two with how good Fulham and Leeds look so far.

Leeds were like this last season though and had a colossal melt-down later on. One theory which has always followed Bielsa is that his football is too energetic for his players to keep up with throughout an entire season which I hope is true.

And also, Leeds seem to have done this every season for the past 5 or 6 years!

Fulham's team is excellent and i see them winning the league.

Still September, October, November, December, January, February,March,April and May remaining. I Hope that’s enough time for us, and others, to prove you wrong.  ;D

Fulham complete the most passes last night with Leeds the us second and third. Not impressive in itself until you consider Fulham completed about the same as us and Leeds combined.

Probably a championship record I’d have thought

Overall you are right about Fulham's superiority in passing last night. But the stats I have looked at suggest a slightly different analysis, as follows:

Fulham Passes 991, Completed 935, % Successful 94.3%
Leeds Passes 601, Completed, 489, % Successful 81.4%
Albion Passes 554, Completed 466, % Successful 85.6%

So not quiet as decisive looking at "Stats Zone" analysis, but impressive nonetheless

From the early fixtures I see maybe 3 teams who are pretty certain to be in a relegation struggle, Wigan, Barnsley and Stoke. Even then, if Stoke replace Jones in the near future, they may climb out of it with the players they've got.
At the same time,  only a few clubs look definite promotion candidates, Leeds, Fulham and maybe Bristol City and Swansea.
There's seems to be a very large group of clubs in between.

For me, the top half in order:

Leeds
WBA
-----------------
Bristol
Derby
Cardiff
Fulham
-----------------
Forest
Huddersfield
Middlesbrough
Brentford
Sheffield Wed.
QPR

I predicted the above a few weeks back and so far I wouldn't change the clubs in the top 6, but would slightly adjust the placing, moving Fulham up to third with Bristol, Derby and Cardiff all moved down 1 place. Of the next 6 I would put Reading (who might be the most likely of the rest to finish in the top 6) and Preston in the top half at the expense of Huddersfield and Middlesbrough, but that's about it. Swansea look decent, but think their start has been a little kind and they will eventually fall away.
