Be my dream for the top 6 to go to a Superleague & leave the rest of us
Who are the top six not so long ago Chelsea and Man Utd would be automatic picks?

With the luck these t###s have it's always dicey to write them off.

ALL FA cup replays will be scrapped from the start of next season.
Such a shame the FA Cup has steadily been devalued part of it's glamour used to be when ties dragged on for 4 or 5 games that captured all fans interest not just those involved.

I would say from what people say behind the scenes about his character that he would certainly have been bothered in the knowledge that he cost us the game.
Was he laughing and joking ? if not then I would love to know what body language signals he was giving off that you could tell he wasn't bothered.

Baggie Boy I'm 70 and I swear with the best of them before the year 2000 anything was fair game and it was a laugh.
Fast forward 20yrs and football is like being in church political correctness drives me bonkers.
As you say football is a place or used to be where you could let off steam after a week's graft for me it's lost it's soul which is one of the reasons I no longer attend but don't think it's a generational thing all those oldies around you have behaved far worse than you can imagine be sure of that.

No, its a football thing, always has been, always will be. Some Man Utd fans used to criticise Fergie for example.

At one time it was reserved for the pubs and letters to the Sports Argus type papers, now with social media its more noticeable.

We have always had sections who have grumbles about things.
If it's a football thing then it has got worse I have been on this site since 2006 and without a doubt considering we have the best manager in a long time and look to be making the playoffs the level of moaning imo is ridiculous under the likes of Bruce understandable this season inexcusable.

A general question regarding Johnston and  all our wingers  would they perform better with a Dike type player in the middle ? it can't be easy trying to pick out BTA amongst towering centre-backs.
I do hope that type of player is top of our wanted list come the summer.

I would agree that Leeds, Leicester and Southampton have better squads but you have to say that McKenna has performed miracles in the last two seasons with a modest Ipswich set up. The difference is that he has had the support of the clubs owners. Hopefully CC will now get the same type of backing regardless of which league we are in next season.
Agreed, I know little about the Ipswich team but they clearly adapted well to the championship and don't seem to have any glaring weakness.
It go'es without saying that CC got diddly help from our previous owner.

Have we burnt out?
Only Norwich with any real momentum in the top six atm no one can afford to coast the last few games so a decent squad to interchange is priceless.

Some people are itching for him to fail. It really is weird.
No one is exempt from criticism on occasions or perfect (CC wouldn't be managing The Albion if so) but one or two on here are relentless. They'd feel they were proved right if we did collapse at the death
I feel reaching the play offs would be an achievement for CC the top four all have superior squads and realistically I feel it will be one of those four.
As you say should that happen I feel CC is going to get a lot of uncalled for flak and that will be as depressing as missing out in the play-offs.

Leicester fans have been slating Maresca all season even when they were running away with it so all those slating Albion fans saying no other clubs fans slate managers etc etc etc, they do. Its not an Albion thing, its a football fan thing.
I knew about Maresca for what reason their fans are like that I've no idea.

I wonder if Leeds, Leicester and Ipswich  are  mullering their manager's for losing these past few weeks  they have been so bad it looks like they don't want promotion.
This is a tough league how dare CC lose  a game after 10 undefeated having 10 men is no excuse.

I certainly didn’t see any tactical genius today. Looked like we were playing for a 1-0 defeat as soon as we went down to 10 men.
What a turn up for the book a player gets himself sent off but turn that onto CC I'm shocked!

Asante gives his best you can't argue with that but he's not even in the top 20 in the division for goals and assists underlining the great job Carlos has done to keep the team ticking over.

Lovely pass to Reach to help set up the first goal.

Just like to echo the above comments whatever the results of the play-offs Carlos has done a brilliant job in difficult circumstances.

QPR, Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds, Leicester, Ipswich managers all ahead of CC for MOS
LOL, you can scrub off the teams that came down from the Prem they are where you would expect them to be.
QPR and Wednesday less than a season and both less impressive than what CC achieved last season that leaves the Ipswich manager which I think most would agree is the stand out manager this season.

We haven't got a clue what our new owner is like.

A few promising words in interviews doesn't mean he won't ever make mistakes.

Clearly he is very motivated by his other investment Bologne doing well, and an ex Torino manager has already been linked, probably just speculation.

But, he hasn't said my first piece of business is to tie CC to a longer contract (with a bigger release clause).

If we don't make the PO's the chances of a knee jerk reaction increases as on paper it looks like in 2 consecutive seasons he has failed to get into the top 6.

Imo that would be totally unfair and unjustified as he's not been backed properly and he deserves a chance with better players, and I am certain CC is a great coach, who would be even better with better players.
We know he's a sucessful businessman we know he already has experience  in the running of a football club admittedly from a junior position he just dosen't seem like a loose cannon like our previous owner, only time will tell but I'm hopeful.

The owner has openly admitted, that with any new venture that he is new to, he employs those that know what they’re doing. He has already openly backed Carlos. We really don’t need an owner making knee-jerk decisions. I don’t think our new owner does. Just look at the Blues.
Our new owner thankfully looks to have more about him than to make stupid knee- jerk reactions. I think we have been lucky with both our new owner and CC I dread to think where we would be if we had screwed up either decision.

I'm not convinced our squad is better than Hull, Norwich or Coventry.
Coventry finished in the top six last season sold a couple of their best players in the summer but reinvested that money back into the team.
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/coventry-city/transfers/verein/990
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/hull-city/transfers/verein/3008
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/norwich-city/transfers/verein/1123
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/west-bromwich-albion/transfers/verein/984

L think we will have done well to finish above at least one of those teams and make the top six, of cause to let our advantage slip now would be a huge disappointment but I wouldn't see it as a failure of Corberan's .
