Spoke to two chaps after the game who sit seemingly very close you and they said exactly the same as this, verbatim. I'd be interested to hear what those others who sit around you say when you see them at the Cardiff match.

I’m more or less certain the person arrested was not the person who got pointed out by Bacuna. No way was he 50 , he had really young children with him. I’d say he was around my age 30-40 . He also wasn’t a season ticket holder , I’d never seen him before.

So they must have seen something on the footage.

Haven’t posted on here for ages but feel the need to post my account of what happened Saturday. It’s been playing on my mind so I wanted to share what I saw and heard.

I have a season ticket in the Halfords lane stand with my daughter, front row where everything happened.

Bacuna was warming up right by us,nothing was said(at least I didn’t hear anything) and he never reacted to anything.

He comes on and within a few minutes he is looking directly at the section I’m in,not just a glance a proper scowling stare. Bloke behind me shouted”what the #### you looking at” so people noticed how he was looking over. Bacuna just smiled and ran off. Looking back was he looking for someone or just trying to get a reaction ? Was something said before the flashpoint ?

We go 1 up.

The ball then comes into our section, Bacuna runs to the cone and picks another ball up to take a quick throw in. In the meantime someone has thrown the ball back down from the stand and it goes on the pitch. The ref stops the game because there’s two balls on the pitch.

Bacuna then kicks the ball back in to the crowd. Deliberately. I wouldn’t say he blasted the ball but he put power in it. Shouting abuse at the section where I sit and throws his arms out, the ball goes right by the person Bacuna points out to the officials later on.

Obviously then people stand up and shout abuse back at him. I never once heard anything racial,Bacuna didn’t react to anything and the game continued. I never heard anything racial and nobody in the area reacted to anything that was said.

Short time after the ball comes right by us. I’ve got the ball in my hand. Albion have a throw in. I’m standing up with my arm out streched with the ball in my hand. Conor Townsend is walking towards me. Bacuna is looking directly at me. I can see him getting agitated because I’ve got the ball and Townsend is taking his time to take the throw in. A blues player runs to the cone and throws the spare ball to Townsend, Townsend lets that ball go past him and that’s when I throw the ball in Townsends direction. I didn’t hear anything racial shouted at this moment.

This is when Bacuna runs to the ref. We honestly thought he had gone to the ref because I had held the ball for a few seconds. The ref sort of waves him away at first. That’s when security comes over and Bacuna is describing someone in a hat with goggles on. Bacuna is pointing in our direction

The security guy then walks past us and goes to a man 7 seats down from me on the same row. The man in question had 2 children with him. I’ve never seen this man before as most people in that section are season ticket holders The family sitting next to him is an Asian family that are season ticket holders. Directly in front of him is a steward who is also Asian. Probably standing 3 yards in front of him

Me and my daughter leave on 95 minutes and we hear the man accused is refusing to give his details ( apparently gave them at the end of the game , along with other people in that area )

Through the whole few minutes of this happening I never heard anything racial shouted. If I had of I would have pointed it out myself. As would the other people in the area. A lot of kids and families sit there.

The man accused had his children with him and if something was shouted racial then someone would have heard it. Especially the young Asian family sitting next to him or the steward standing infront of him.

Thats my account of what happened anyway. If something racial was shouted then the culprit deserves locking up and never let in a football stadium again. Did I hear anything racial, did I see anyone react around me as if something was shouted racial, No I didn’t.

I’m interested to see what everyone around me says about the whole incident at the Cardiff game. The people around me are regulars. The steward who was standing in front of the accused is a regular in that spot.  People who were a lot closer to the accused than Bacuna was. So I’m really keen to have those conversations at the next game.

Let’s just see how the investigation goes, if something racial was shouted then it’s something I didn’t hear.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I dreaded a game of football more then this one , been years. We’re going to get hammered  ???

What I am taking pleasure in is seeing the dingles literally bricking it. I know we’ve had the better of them over the years but i didn’t quite realise how damaged they are mentally from us. If they can’t be confident in beating us next week they never will be confident. I will enjoy the week with them then go into hiding

No EPL defender has a chance in a team with such a poor defensive midfield.  Look at how much better Tosin Adarabaiyo is doing at Fulham with Harrison Reed in front of him.  Both Semi and O'Shea are having to fight fires that someone else should be tackling.

The good thing about him is that he's athletic as evidence by the way he recovered when losing the ball to Harrison last night.

Don't you think that decent coaching might be lacking at 430 Birmingham Road?

Good points made

We didn't have the second worst defence in the Championship.

Alongside Johnstone, Ajayi is the only one who has looked to make the step up. He isn't a kid anymore, and he needs to learn fast but he has the physical attributes to dig him out of trouble. If he improves his reading of the game he will be a decent PL centre half. We will make a tidy profit on our £1.5m in the summer. Likewise, we stand to make a tidy profit on Sam Johnstone as things stand. The rest of them we wont be able to give away.

You are right we didn’t have the second worse defence in the league , haven’t a clue why I had it in my head that we did.

I agree we would make a profit on him.

Nobody would want any of the other players perriera included

I honestly don’t get why people rave about Ajei. Maybe I’m being harsh but let’s looks at the facts we had the second worse defence in the championship last season a defence that Ajei played most games in. A defences job is to stop teams scoring goals. People wouldn’t be raving about a striker who doesn’t score goals . Our defence last season was terrible and that includes Ajei

This season we have by far the worse defence in the league again with Ajei in. The Defenders take the brunt of the blame for leaking goals .

He has improved and will improve I agree on that but I don’t get the fascination of a defender who plays in a defence that’s the worse we’ve had for years

SJ was ok last night but despite 2 decent saves was still nowhere near good enough. Pope on the other hand was excellent. made a reaction save in a crowded area, but so dominated his area generally that we rarely got close enough the threaten. SJ has never been able to do this. Not his fault, he has worked hard and tried to improve his positioning and catching, but without much success. Time now for a change.

I’m not a massive fan of Johnstone but he kept a clean sheet and made some good save yet you say he was nowhere near good enough. What else can he do other then keep a clean sheet ?

I honestly don’t think he has been that bad this season. Can’t think of any of the goals we’ve conceded were it was his fault or his error. The shambles of a defence infront of him doesn’t help for starters

Oh, I agree - but that's all to do with getting people back into hospitals and to the doctor's appointments which should be a priority.  Not getting them out to the pub and adjusting the kick out time to 10pm.

I’m some cases yes but that’s only a small part of it . Those appointments can be there but the idiots in charge have done that much scaremongering how many people won’t go to hospital or won’t go to the doctors now because there scared to ?

Your totally forgetting mental health and what effect that has on people’s health  , suicide rates going through the roof , millions going to be out of work which will be hard to take for a lot of people . That’s not even including the damage it’s doing to industries that have taken hundreds of years to build up . The economy being destroyed , if they close schools kids education at risk

All for a virus that to 99.9% of people it isn’t dangerous but that’s not saying it shouldn’t matter , it should matter , every life should be protected the best it can but like I said it’s all about finding the right balance.

This government is so obsessed with coronavirus theve just forgotten about everything else.

The virus is here to stay , that’s a fact . What we going to do be in a constant cycle of opening closing opening closing cause that’s what will happen . It’s ridiculous

Unless you know if herd immunity occurs AND how long it lasts for, then letting it sweep through the population is just a sure fire way to kill a lot of people.

But your killing thousands from various other things by locking down. It’s trying to find that balance which this pathetic government don’t want to do.

That’s why the whole thing doesn’t sit well with me , surely it’s always about finding a balance . If you save for example 100 thousand people from dying from covid but cancers are being missed , mental heath etc etc and you get 120 thousand people dying because of this , where’s that balance? Something not right with the whole thing

If the Derby and sheff wed rumours are true and we could be rid of ca and kz I cannot decide who it is better to lose if not both.

Given the longer contract it would be kz on a permanent.

But, I think both will still be with us as having got rid of he Burke no way are we going to get that lucky again and jettison the gruesome twosome.

Doesn’t even have to be thought about mate . Easily  Zohore . What did he offer last season , nothing other then score a couple of penalties. At least Austin was top scorer and scored some vital goals .

Ideally we wouldn’t have both but if you had to choose one to keep it would have to be Austin

The total yesterday was for tests added from between the 24th of September and the 1st of October

https://twitter.com/ukcovid19stats/status/1312479839681564672?s=21

This system is as corrupt as they come  :o

So tests will be a lot higher the next few days because of a back log .

One way of scaring people and getting the numbers up I suppose . Don’t trust anything they say or do

Not officially no but it has been reported by numerous officials and scientists that cases were as high as 100k plus at the peak

Here’s another one that shocked me

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8785415/Just-1-800-110-000-occupied-hospital-beds-currently-taken-Covid-19-patients.html

2% of hospital patients are in hospital due to covid , so 98% of people in hospital aren’t covid related .

2%  :o cases have been in their thousands for the whole of September now

Yeah but it's that thing again...new cases have shot up and are continuing in that direction......the majority of deaths arising from these new cases tend to happen 2 - 3 weeks after infection. The current deaths reflect what was going on a couple of weeks ago regarding new cases.

If you check on that link it shows you a graph of the covid deaths to overall deaths . Even at its peak it wasn’t  near 1/3 of deaths. So if you think at the peak there was over 100k cases a day . I’m not sure what the average is now 5k ? Cases would have to go up a ridiculous amount to get anywhere near those numbers

This amazed me . Covid was accountable for 1.5 % of all deaths last week . 1.5 %  :o I was expecting it to be a lot higher  :o

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: VAR watch (For WBA)
« on: September 27, 2020, 09:10:36 AM »
I disagree. A few years ago refs would have blown for it because it keeps the ball alive in a dangerous area. Now instead of giving a free kick they see how it develops. If a side defends it well then there’s no harm done but there’s no advantage as such to the defending side. However if the ball bounces around a bit it suddenly becomes a new phase and if goal is scored, it’s then becomes a clear disadvantage to the defending side who would have reset and pushed up the pitch it a free kick was given.

Delaying decisions only benefit the attacking sides, which is generally going to benefit the top six more than the bottom six. Ins no surprise the perceived favour towards the top sides is heightened, the rules make it inevitable.

I don’t ever see any ref blowing up for that mate . Did any players claim handball ? I cant remember.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: VAR watch (For WBA)
« on: September 27, 2020, 08:32:15 AM »
They explained it all on match of the day last night .

Last season that goals ruled out by the laws but they changed the law in the break . The handball has to directly lead to a goal so basically it needs to assist a goal which yesterday it didn’t . Kanu failed to clear the ball properly then the ball was put in . 2-3 passages of play before the goal . So in the laws now it isn’t handball.

There’s no way it’s deliberate handball . Last season we wouldn’t have batted an eyelid at it . Before VAR it wouldn’t have even been discussed

No it's not, it's the actual testing, procurement of tests, lab work, results dissemination, booking system, website, staffing, and yes the external contracts to the likes of SERCO.

Yeah and it’s all for nothing cause the system is a complete joke , 12 billion down the pan . Which we the working class tax payer will pay back . The shambles that is test and trace is one of the reasons we have these restrictions again . It’s not working simple as . They haven’t got a clue .

But I know someone will come back with some rubbish about how well the government are doing , I honestly think if borris was on camera committing murder people would say “ he slipped with the knife , it was an accident “

They have made a mess of everything

Jacko it was in his spiel about how much money in general they had put into the country during the pandemic not specific to the job retention but covering various other spending. Wasn’t especially listening but some twitter anti are saying 12 billion to track and trace ! Now it maybe that’s not all towards this app and it’s release today but could include the earlier fiasco with it , Dildo Hardings wages and other costs but the word billions in/to track and trace  was certainly mentioned

Definitely read a report today that Sunak quoted 12 billion

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.thesun.co.uk/news/12072680/bungled-test-trace-system-10-billion/amp/

Here’s a report from July quoting 10 billion

Whether that’s just the app I don’t know , I don’t really care . If theve spent that much money I expect borris to pop out my phone to tell me I’ve got Covid.

if older phones are limited by hardware there is not much the app developers can do.

Mate theve spent 12 billion on this app , it should work on every format on every phone  ;D
