My very first thought to that was that this has been posted in the wrong thread! And then I remembered that he did actually play for us  ;D

Clearly very impactful

Tom Rogic has retired at the age of 30. A disappointing spell here despite the odd moment of quality.

His career is quite strange but understandable if his head wasn't in it later on with the IVF stuff going on. He played nearly 200 games for Celtic and over 50 times for Australia. These aren't the best teams ever but they're still decent. You could tell he was a very technical footballer with us but was clearly missing something, now it makes sense.

I think he retired at the age of 29 actually, at least that’s what I remember of his time with us

Fun fact (or not so). One of my former bosses was an apprentice at Walsall when Craig Shakespeare was coming through the ranks there too. Not so much a fun fact is that my former boss wrecked his knee and didn't make it as a pro, as former bosses go he was one of my better ones though. That's not too difficult really given some of his competition over the years. Best wishes to Shakey  8) .

Fun facts. Curtis Davies has a first class honours degree in professional sports writing and broadcasting. I didn’t know either until I read his Wiki' page. I also didn’t realise his dad was from Sierra Leone (hence the international call up).

Thought he had a history of injuries his 10 year old career only amassed 66 appearances, which suggests he has been very unlucky, anyway hopefully he has enough stashed away to support himself / family and he is young enough to peruse a career in coaching of he so wishes

(Hope this isn't breaking any advertising rules Mods) but have to give a mention to Simon Garner's book just published " One Last Shot
https://simongarnerbook.co.uk/

Garns, is one of my all-time favourite players, partly for being a clever, mobile and goalscoring striker, and partly becaue he seemed like a character. Any number of stories and anecdotes about drinking, smoking and colourful private life in an era before disciplined diets etc. After he left Albion (far too soon) he joined my local team Wycombe Wanderers where I got the chance to meet him a couple of times.
