I TOLD YOU GUYS ABOUT SOUTHAMPTON!!!!

All this nonsensical fear about them utterly ridiculous.

Haven't read any "fear" more that posters are concerned that they've beaten us twice this season...even though we were arguably the better side for most of the 180+ minutes...same with Leicester. What Leicester and Soton have is quite clinical goal scorers...sadly we don't.

No point in being the better side if you don't win.

We may well finish 6th anyway and will be unlikely to face Soton again...unless it's in the final.

No FEAR over any team in this league for me but i'd PREFER not to face them or Leicester as they both done the double over us.

Meanwhile: According to rumour on the OwlsTalk forum Sheffield Wednesday are being linked to a takeover by an American consortium.

We don't want them getting all optimistic ahead of a game when they're desperately in need of points. Not when we are as well. Bugger  :-X .
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.

Looking at Soton, Leeds and Leicester, there's not many of our players that any of them would covet from  our middling  lot - exceptions Kipre and maybe Mowatt.   The big difference is Corberan who has conjured up a team out of some very middling talent.

What he could do with the likes of Harwood-Bellis, Bednarek, Stuart Armstrong  and Adam Armstrong (plus the injured Rothwell and Downes) doesn't bear thinking about.

Forget Summer signings, there's one person that SP needs to secure before next season.

What result would we prefer there? A draw?

I thought a draw would suit us but looking at the table if one of them win only one of them can then catch us (with our superior goal difference) if its a draw both still can.

I don’t think it matters. If we can’t get a win from Sheff Wed of Preston we don’t deserve playoffs.

As it stands, Coventry out of it and Hull with Ipswich to play.

I would fancy ourselves against PNE but don't need any last day added pressure
Sheff Wed will be tough due to their circumstances

2-2

Relooking at it maybe a draw would suit us as wed only need a point to be certain from 2 games rather than definitely needing to win one

Hull winning again. Not a good result for us if it sticks but we need to win our games and if we fail to win at least one then it’s all on us for chucking it away

Well if we win one of our remaining two it will basically be game over for Hull because of GD. They will need to win both and hope for us or Norwich to only get 2 points or worse over last 2 matches.

Or they can get a win and draw and hope us or Norwich lose both

If Hull finish above us, they deserve it, if we can't win one our last two games, we don't.

A point maybe good enough for us, with our goal difference.

i suspect coventry was a tad knackered, wasn't that impressed with Hull. if we fluff it now we don't deserve to have the chance of going up via the playoffs

Ipswich have 3 games in the next 10 days if they win all 3 they are promoted regardless of what Leeds do. Obviously we have a vested interest in them beating Hull  ;D However regardless of the outcome they have had a great season going toe to toe with the 3 relegated sides and finishing ahead of at least 1 of them.

Before someone points out that they have been backed that is true but none of their signings were wholly outlandish i.e. most Championship clubs could have made them and they are modest by comparison with some of the talent shipped in by the relegated clubs.  It also be noted that the core of the squad was with them in League One and not all of their signings have made significant contributions.

Leeds losing 2-0 at QPR early on. Might ignite a bigger rocket under Ipswich backside to beat Hull for us tomorrow

Leeds thought they just had to turn up , whilst Qpr came for a fight . Let’s hope we turn up tomorrow with the right attitude, need to win the battle before we can start to play it around
