Sarmineto started for Ipswich but hooked at HT.

Yeah he doesn't seem to exactly be pulling up trees.

Hutchinson making much more of an impact, although also as an impact sub.

Sadly it seems Southampton saved their performance of the season for us. Was inevitable they were going to be fired up after that defeat at Brizzle City, just frustrating that it happened to be against us!

I think that there may be something in this.  They put everything into beating us and were - according to Russel Martin - a bit flat last night.  Pity the fixtures weren't the other way around.  Still man for man they're better than us as would be expected from recent spending.

It was about the only game I wanted them to win, last night, as I cannot abide Russell Martin, the smug...person  ;D

Good win in the end for Leeds. A couple of friends of mine were at the match and posted videos on WhatsApp- the atmosphere was incredible.

Good result for us. If we could win the next two and Norwich stutter a little our play off chances would look really strong

It was a good win albeit with 2 bits of luck. I wish we had that

Ilias Chair from QPR sentenced to 12 months in prison with a further 12 months suspended. Safe to say he's out for the season

Just read QPR's statement, which bizarrely references him being "charged with assault" and not commenting due to it being an "ongoing case". Pretending that he hasn't already been to court, found guilty and then sent to jail is such strange comms, even if he does plan to appeal.

Also will be a fascinating test of if QPR will sack him should the appeal fail. You can guarantee a squad/youth player would be sacked if racist comments were found on their social media, but will the lesser offence of (checks notes) cracking someone's skull open be treated the same.

He absolutely should be sacked. As you say it will be interesting to see if QPR have the balls to do it

Just looked and it says he's under contract there until end of 2025 but they do have a years option.

He's out until nearly the end of next season effectively as once released he will need to get fit however if they retain his services they could extend his contract and hope to get a fee I guess.

Their other option would be to sack him now and save wages but not received any fee of course.

Money usually talks in football so will be a curious one to watch.

Edit - Not sure how Belgian prison system works, possible actually that he only serves 6 months of the 12 for good behaviour etc?

Wow. So generally people sentenced to 3 years or less in Belgium didnt serve prison time until recently

From Sep 2023 it says prisoners can ask to be released after completing a third of their sentence.
