It would be delightful if the capped one returned as a messiah only to take them down. Can't see Hughes lasting much longer, another in the carrousel of very poor British managers, he's spent a small fortune in his time at Stoke and slowly made them worse.
The oatcake would make interesting reading were it to happen.

Palace lead 2-1  :'(
It is not the taking part, but the winning that counts.

Roy was always going to keep Palace up. It's the three promoted teams plus Swansea and West Ham who will be in the mix with us.

Let’s be honest with ourselves. We are in real danger of going down unless we add some quality additions to our side in January - and that will be nigh impossible with the grossly unfair Fair Play Rules.

Do you know what the ramifications are for breaking the fair play rules?

Of course I do. I never even hinted that we should break them. I just said that they are unfair - to the smaller clubs such as ours.

He is a good manager always liked him from his early days when at Watford but I don't think he will get to manage clubs bigger than what he has already.he's done brilliant to get Burnley to 4th.

Moyes/Martinez at best. He won’t get a big gig but a slighty vertical sideways move to Everton, West Ham, Newcastle etc but will fail.

The problem would be that he has been given time at Burnley and made gradual progression (albeit hit a purple patch currently), If he got a "bigger" job, he would be expected to deliver almost immediately.

Sorry, I wasn't having a go. I was genuinely asking as I was wondering whether it was worth just breaking them if it's just a token fine, or not breaking them if it's a points deduction.
