Achievements don't matter, especially if they were done in extremely difficult financial circumstances.

Some were slagging off Wilder at the start of the season and the oft used dinosaur came out to describe him.

I mentioned Moyes on here few years back and he was already in the Jurassic age according to some then.

No respect for defensive discipline and solidity it's all about champagne football fantasy on a dripping sandwich budget.
I wouldn't put Moyes in the Wilder/Dyche category.  They all put a high emphasis on defensive organisation and discipline, but I'd much rather watch as a neutral, a match involving a team managed by Moyes than the other 2.

But football fans come in all sorts. For me its about a mixture of results, and the team having an identity I can be proud of. A big part of that is the type of football on display. I remember when Pulis was in charge here, West Brom was seen at large as a very negative, boring team to watch, and I was personally a bit embarassed to identify as a fan. So in the end I just 'tolerated' it, waiting for the day we'd get back to playing football.
Einstein: A definition of insanity- someone who takes the same action time after time, even though previously it's always ended in failure

Having watched Liverpool a few times recently I think they could bottle it despite being 12 points ahead.

It looks like Salah's contract situation is affecting him as he looks like a shadow of his former self at the moment.

Whilst they've not been great recently, neither have Arsenal. Both have very similar games remaining. I can't see Arsenal winning all their remaining games and Liverpool losing enough to let a 12 point advantage slip.
Liverpool now only have the league to focus on, whereas Arsenal are in with a chance of the Champions League.

Would Salah leaving the Bin dippers have a similar effect to Man City losing Rodri for the season?

No man is an island,I actually heard pundits bemoaning Salah yesterday,I mean it’s not like he has been the outstanding prem player all season??…and I can’t stand that red lot…
But they should have enough to at the very least make a competitive game yesterday even if Salah had an off day…they didn’t they were awful .
I cannot see Salah staying there …unfortunately I do think that their lead will be enough for the league, but if they could just lose the next two games it would be great television.

I think Salah will be lured by the Saudis and the scousers will potentially implode next season. Van Dyke will be the only one who could possibly  save them, Some of that squad are not all special at all that IMO (Curtiss Jones / TAA / Harvey Elliott for example)

The bottom 3 really have kept Wolves up haven't they? Crazy thing is Ipswich spent a fortune too.

Is there really any hope for anyone being promoted now?

Forest went full risk, full reward and only just got away with it!

I think a slow yo-yo, rebuild method is the most sensible long-term.

Van Dijk is hugely overrated …he’s definitely getting can’t save tgem
Hope Salah stays in Europe and Scousers fall away.

He can't save them if he's not there, as he's available on a free too along with TAA.

Personally think he's been outstanding for them overall and he was cracking at both Southampton and Celtic before that. He is however 34 in July and has been in slow decline from his former levels for a couple of seasons now in my opinion.

Different kind of defender to 'our' GMac. Time and tide wait for no man though and his athleticism clearly isn't what it was but he's still a very decent defender in open play. I wouldn't say no on a free for a year next season  ;D .

Looking at the last 2 seasons you would think that being a promoted team was pretty hopeless. However it was only 3 seasons ago that all the promted clubs survived.

To some extent it is not only what the promoted teams do but also what the Premier Leagues stragglers do.

Wolves haven't looked good for a couple of seasons and are running at less than a point a game They should be embroiled in a relegation fight. Everton are the other long term strugglers but they seem to have turned the corner off and on the pitch.

Next season I suspect Wolves will still struggle and if one of the promoted clubs gets everything right they will have a good chance of finishing ahead of at least Wolves.

And so it was
West Brom sent wolves down by winning 1-0 at the molinspeaux in the final game of 25-26 premier fixtures
Unfortunately due to a solo Albion fan being in the wrong end and saying nasty things about Staffordshire and scrap men,the Fa relegated Albion ….and deducted 12 points of Everton

As far fetched goes this probably isn't as far fetched as it could go in reality.......  ;D .

Kevin De Bruyne has announced he is leaving Manchester City at the end of the season.

A great player who has sadly been hit by injuries this year.

Ipswich basically bought the best available from the Championship plus Hutchison . It will be interesting to see how many are hunted by Prem League clubs if/when they go down . Delap , Hutchison will I think leave but am more interested in whether the likes of Greaves , Jack Clarke etc get another Prem gig

Southampton relegated.

Earliest relegation in the history of the Premier League, 31 games

Still one point behind Derby's total of 11 at the moment

Ipswich losing to the Wolves yesterday just about summed up the disparity now between the two leagues. The promoted sides have barely laid a glove this season

The one man I feel sorry for is Aaron Ramsdale a class keeper who could have gone to Wolves instead of this mess however he is a Baggie like all of us so doing that would be silly, however putting aside legions he probably regrets it now. Chelsea or United should sign him they need a keeper. Or we could try and bring the man to his boyhood club. He would be miles better than Wildsmith who we could get rid of and help develop Griffiths

It's a lovely thought, or dream you could say, as there could never be any substance to it, transfer fee and wages both way beyond us, let alone his ambition to play in the top flight where he is more than capable.
