This Liverpool team is looking useful :D. Battered Madrid and City in the space of a few days. I suspect some teams will be kicking themselves for not trying harder to get Gomes in the summer , he was superb today

Man City didn’t even lay a glove on them. Liverpool are looking so well drilled defensively but devastating on the counter attack - kinda like every attack from them is like our goal v Preston, quick, decisive and ruthless.

Arsenal are once again looking strong but that dip in form they had could cost them. Long way to go but Liverpool look incredible.

Liverpool do indeed, but the wheels can come off very quick with the Salah contract issue.
I don’t think it’s all over yet they still have to go to city, play spurs twice and go to Chelsea…they could win all 4 ,they could also lose all 4.

It's only December. As long as the top teams continue to amass as many points as they can, and the vile continue to plummet, this will be the only reason I will show any interest in their results.

Van Nistelrooy may be just the tonic Leicester need, but they didn't half ride their luck with West Ham having 20 goal attempts. He allowed West Ham to dominate possession and hit them 3 times on the counter.

Watched the first half, they don't survive under GON. Very very poor all over the pitch. Every ball lumped into their box looks like a goal.

A cery pleasing watch thus far

If you include blocked shots in the equation it was actually 31 goal attempts. They didn't 'half ride' their luck so much as they horse whipped it across the finishing line.

West Ham Manager looks utterly out of his depth and should be sacked immediately. Wolves should keep their bloke as he is guaranteed to get them demoted.

Agent Dawson well on the way to completing his mission.😄

Everton's top scorers this season:
1. McNeil. 3 goals in 13 appearances.
2. Calvert-Lewin. 2 goals in 14 appearances.
3. Ndiaye. 2 goals in 14 appearances.
4. Keane. 2 goals in 9 appearances.
5. Dawson. 2 goals in 1 appearance (some strike rate-outstanding effort).
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.

Michael Anotnio from West ham was in a car crash yesterday, says he's suffered a lower limb fracture. Nothing else.

Interesting development........

'Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk says he is in "complete shock" after testing positive for a banned substance.

The club confirmed on Tuesday that they had been contacted by the Football Association after an "adverse finding in a routine urine test" provided by the Ukraine international.

Mudryk denies ever knowingly using a banned substance and Chelsea say they will work to establish what caused the failed test.

"This has come as a complete shock as I have never knowingly used any banned substances or broken any rules, and am working closely with my team to investigate how this could have happened," Mudryk wrote on Instagram.

"I know that I have not done anything wrong and remain hopeful that I will be back on the pitch soon."

Under FA guidelines, players can be provisionally suspended from football following a positive drugs test.

However, when contacted by BBC Sport, the FA refused to confirm whether Mudryk, 23, was now provisionally suspended or when the test took place.

Players found to have intentionally taken a banned substance can be banned for up to four years under Fifa guidelines.

Mudryk last played for Chelsea on 28 November and has missed the past five matches in all competitions.

He was included in the matchday squad for the Blues' win against Aston Villa on 1 December but did not feature.

Head coach Enzo Maresca had said publicly that Mudryk's absence was because of illness.

Mudryk, who signed from Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk in a deal worth up to £89m in 2023, has scored 10 goals in 73 appearances for Chelsea'.

My sentiments entirely. Can have no sympathies with him whatsoever and hope he does not automatically land any decent Championship jobs.
