The clubs will all be strongly advised to vote in favour of it I expect. I’m almost certain it’s not going anywhere.

I believe it needs 14 votes for a change but it could well be 19-1 in favour of keeping it.

A QPR fan after our game and the Kipre incident on the radio day after still said they wouldn't take VAR! Which sums it up I think

All I'm interested in is impartiality and no bias. I know the odds would be stacked against Albion in the PL whether its through VAR or refs on the pitch.  Question is, would we get fairer treatment from VAR or refs. I don't know the answer.

With VAR, it should be on the screens at the ground. There would be less a chance of favouritism/bias then.

Everton's takeover saga getting increasingly messy. Just seen the news that a Belgium court has seized the assets of prospective owners 777 partners over non payment of debts in association with their Belgium club Standard Liege. At some point the Premier League needs to step in to stop this absolute farce going any further. The consequences for Everton look increasingly troubling.

Wolves make a formal request for VAR to be scrapped.

@David_Ornstein

🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Premier League clubs to vote on proposal to scrap VAR from next season. Resolution formally submitted by Wolves to abolish system + will be on agenda at June 6 AGM. Any rule change needs 2/3s majority (14 of 20 members) to pass @TheAthleticFC

Hope they see sense and get rid of it it's making football more and more sterile. Didn't the Swedish league just vote to get rid of it?

Hate Wolves with a passion but I have to support them with this.

Hope it's scrapped. It's taken the enjoyment out of the game for me where fans cannot celebrate a goal until so called experts, 100s of miles away, make a decision.

Sweden voted not to have it, rather than get rid of it. Great decision in my opinion.
I read that Liverpool are for VAR, I imagine most of the big sides will vote for it.

De Zerbi leaving Brighton is kind of interesting all seems fairly amicable but there is clearly a difference in club and coach's view as to the way forward. I wonder who will be on Brighton's shortlist?

May well be on Bayern Munich's shortlist, given the number of refusals they've had. Quite hilarious really, the latest being Thomas Tuchel who they suddenly wished to give a second chance.Full marks to Tuchel in that he seems to have told them to shove it!

I honestly wouldn't go after de zebri if I was a big club. The issue is that Brighton have fantastic infrastructure and can make ordinary managers look better than they actually are. If I were Bayern I would want him to prove it again first elsewhere before making a move. The jury is still out for me.

The wheels fell off badly, battered away every week including being humiliated by Roma their only goal in April was an OG

Reading the comments on BBC the Brighton fans don't seem too despondent he's going

I know a number of their supporters won't be bothered given the context of their season but I still had a chuckle when I realised the Villa had been spanked at Palace  8) .
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.
Oh, and always remember to defecate on those Vile chaps in claret and spew.

Much as I appreciate what Uncle Roy did, Palace now have an excellent attack minded manager in Oliver Glasner. If Palace can hold onto him, Villa won't be the last to get spanked by them.

While Hodgson was hampered by injuries I think he overstayed himself by a season. Glasner has them playing well and they're precise going through the lines. Their football is quick and stodge free.

Dare I say it but I enjoy watching Palace play and the tonking of the Vile was a particular bonus. Eze and Olise in particular are really enjoying themselves, Wharton has stepped up very well and Mateta looks a different player.

The questions being can they keep them together and if not who are they going to replace them with? Olise was reportedly on his way to Chelsea in the summer only for the deal to fall through and see them move for Cole on the off-chance instead.
