I echo what the guys above have said. No interest whatsoever in the Premier League nor top class football now. When I was a kid it meant everything now it means nothing at all. That goes for European games and international matches as well.

I've supported Albion all my life so can't / won't stop now but now I just go to enjoy watching us play and hope to win whichever game we're playing. Any ambition I had for the club or hope of us getting back to those glory days, let alone winning any major trophy have long since died.

In a nutshell. I still prefer fighting at the top of the Championship, rather than scrapping for points and looking at the trap door of the prem.

Which seems a bit inconsistent with we must get rid of this owner to progress?

Isn't it more like we must get rid of present owner to survive in the Championship or even survive?

Add to all of the above, the insane amount of money at the top table and despite failings of some owners at lesser clubs, currently Southend, Scunthorpe could see them disappear for a relative pittance. These clubs have loyal fans and their clubs are important to them and the pyramid needs to be sustainable, it's not just about the top 6.
Didn't Bury go under for an amount less than Wayne Rooney weekly wage?

I cant substantiate this, but my feeling is that non-league football is getting more interest / customers  now than at any time I can remember

AC Milan really shafted Newcastle with Tonali signing.

You can bet Newcastle didn't see this one coming  ;) .

The bottom 3 in the PL this year are already starting to get cut adrift. They might keep the dingles up by default.

Burnley probably have a worse side than the one they got promoted with, victims of their own success in the loan market really.

Everton could face 12 points deduction due to financial irregularities.

If the Everton point deduction goes ahead, I see them finally getting relegated.

I agree mate long overdue, very murky goings on i hear from toffee mates
However, i happend to be on the ferry across the mersey only yesterday and could not fail to be impressed by the new stadium that's emerging on the side of the river, it looks fantastic, problems with parking may be an issue but, it would be the best stadium in the championship without question!

The best stadium in the Championship is an entirely appropriate legacy for the debacle of the Moshiri era at Everton. How someone could spend the money his has spent and make the club immeasurably worse off is beyond my comprehension.

Everton deducted 10 points but set to appeal. Even if 10 points stands I expect they’ll be fine this season.

Cracking season to receive a 10 point penalty if ever there was to be one.

Because City's cases havn't been concluded yet to see if and what they're guilty of. Everton admitted their offence so all they had to do was decide on the punishment. City are tying their 115 cases up in the courts for YEARS.

However, why did the big 6 not get points docked a couple of years back for trying to toddle off to the Euro Superleague and why did West Ham not get points deducted when they were found guilty and fined £5.5 million for the dodgy Teves and Mascherano deals (West ham stayed up and Sheff utd were relegated on goal difference)? Obviously depends on how big your club is and if you've got influential ex-players on the FA and other boards at the time. If they don't mind you getting relegated or dropping down the league, you get a points deduction. Otherwise, you get away with a fine and maybe a transfer embargo which doesn't really have any lasting effect on your club.

This could get very interesting how many other clubs have broken the rules? plus it's possible we could see club against club in the courts.
I would love to see the Premier League implode.

Interesting about Neverton, but they'll wriggle out of it, one of the clubs that seem to have more luck than the Vile, imho
Watch this space, maybe a few more money bags clubs may face some music!

Always struck me as a club which acted big, overpriced their players in the transfer market (Anichebe just one example), expensive new stadium. A spell in the Champ might make them, and their fans, a bit more humble.

A lot of reaction seems to be that’s it’ excessive. I don’t agree at all. If they are guilty,  any less of a deduction is too inconsequential IMO.  The sceptic in me also suspects if the league table hadn’t been as it is,  they would not have got 10 points. The season conveniently allows what seems like a big deduction to amount to nothing in the grand scheme of things.

City and Chelsea surely have to have point deductions too at some point

Whilst not a gambling man I'd be willing to bet there's any number of small to medium sized businesses in particular in Leicester who are looking on at this with more than a hint of irony given Leicester City's own previous financial history.

It is entirely fair. The only sanction that owners take seriously is a points deduction which can threaten their clubs status as a Premier team.

Everton seem to have arrived at this point by sheer incompetence but they knowingly took actions which put them in breach of the rules. Given how tight the relegation battles they have been involved in were,  they might consider themselves fortunate not to have a points deduction sufficient to ensure they now get the relegation they dodged by breaking the rules.  As it is they have more than a fighting chance of surviving which shows just how poor the bottom 4 have been to date.

The very obvious elephants in the room are Chelsea and Man City. In some regards they are accused of much more significant breaches i.e. were in breach of the rules and then took actions to avoid detection. Personally I'd strip them of every title or trophy they won and kick them out of the league. The authorities won't of course but a 10 point deduction is now the bare minimum they can expect.

I think its fair enough
If you intend to appeal and lose, its upscaled to 15 points
Youve broken the rules, you pay the price
City can do one relegated to div2 and fined st least
