Seals watch - Anything Villa
« on: February 18, 2011, 09:09:41 AM »
Just had a look at the remaining fixtures. They have got a lot of the teams at the bottom of the table to play, including us.

Although I don't think they won't go down, I think they still may struggle.

Why on earth didn't they go for it with the team selection? They won't be getting relegated and it's not like they are going to be finishing in the top 6 or anything so why not have a go at winning the FA Cup? Houllier seems to be not bothering with the cup just for the sake of it. Very disrespectful.

Absolutely hilarious. Houllier was definetly right to rest players in the cup. "Concentrate on the league". Brilliant.

Still in the mix.

Not going to go down IMO, but still a team we can aim to finish above!

Probably a step too far but if we could just pull off a few shock win and draws against the big boys then it would be great if we could finish above the Villa for once. Nearly 30 years they have finished above us and for a large period of that ive been alive having to put up with Villa fans who go on about small Albion, giving stick that they can never take (does anybody actually know a Villa fan who can take ribbing about his team without getting ultra defensive). Would give me a great summer if we could just be top dogs this once in the Midlands.

In Roy We Trust!

If we manage to beat the Vile at The Hawthorns, then Roy will officially be the best thing since sliced bread. I don't think we have ever beat them in my lifetime  :(

Us stopping up and Villa going down would be a dream come true, beating them at home, helping to send them down, would just be the dream icing on the cake.

If we beat them at home and they go down, compared to us they'll look upon Brum as their best buddies.

It's all dreams at the moment, but not a totally impossibility.

I would be so chuffed if that happened.

Sadly Villa have enough to stop up.

I am expecting a 'shock' team to be relegated this season, but who that is I don't know.

I don't want to wish injury on anyone, but it would be quite funny if Villa were to lose there striker to injury for the rest of the season with the money they've spent on him.

My "mate" the vile fan said yesterday that he aint worried because they played really good football at Bolton..just the sort of attitude that Leeds, Forrest and countless other "big" teams have had.
Wigan , Blackpool and Vile for the drop..

Party at Royston's when the Vile go down?  :D

I've said all along that there is a shock relegation on the cards. We haven't had one for a while. At the begining of the season everyone was talking about Liverpool being that team.

Then just after Christmas it was Everton who have now started to pick up results.

The Vile have been in and around the relegation zone all season and I can't see it changing much.

If Wolves beat the Seals then it makes things very interesting.

I do expect Villa to stop up.  :(

I think Villa will stay up, but it might be a close run thing. They do have a lot of quality in that side though. I'm praying to God we beat them though. That would be fantastic and its been a long time coming.

i would imagine this lot will be safe by the time we play em (praying they go down but its too much to ask i think) :(, so they could be "on the beach" especially Young whos off in the summer anyway. Last time we saw us beat these was in a pre season friendly 1-0 Super Bob :P ,17000 att. mid nineties?

I've said it loads but I'll say it again. I would love Villa to be relegated. As someone else has said I couldn't give two hoots about Wolves.

Villa will have enough but it will be close.

Anyone know why they have let both Bannan and Delfoneso go out on loan?

They must feel their development would be better suited starting in a lower division.

I cant see Villa going down with bent scoring goals and defenders still to come back not to mention Makoun. They have good fixtures in front of them and I expect them to be comfortable safe. It's just good to see them struggle a little bit.

Rumours from some Villa fans where Houllier only signed Darren Bent in order to win a few fans over, who at one stage wanted him out, and so he could get the goals to keep the club in the premier league. Although what they paid for him, I wouldn't say he's giving them just rewards..

They're expecting a complete overhaul in the summer with the likes of Friedel, Petrov, Carew, Heskey, Beye all being possibly moved on.
