Just browsing through some teletext on a Dutch station and under Friendlies shocked to read FC Wolves 0 Heerenveen 14.  Turned out I misred it reading FC Wolves instead of  FC Wolvega. :)

Dingles going down the plug-hole faster than we are I hope.
Of course, everything's going swimmingly, damn good deal etc, etc

It’s a joke that any football club can use that fund. Yes the premier league is ‘exported’ but if a club starts failing and is relegated, another team plugs the gap.

It’s not the same as supporting a British business which might be lost to foreign competition.

That is staggering on so many levels.

a) Wolves are not the exporter the Premier League is.
b) If Wolves cease to exist they would be replaced by another club.
c) The Government does not have a direct charge on the club's assets.

Fair play to their owners I fully expect ours to be first in the queue for that finance if we are promoted and I am sure Wisdom Smart LLP of Shanghai will use that money wisely.

If their owners have found a way to use funds like this then credit to them. Ours are to dumb to work anything like this out.

Frankly, I see no reason why any club shouldn't use any funds on offer if what they are doing is legitimate and it sounds like what they are doing is similar to any other business of a similar ilk. I don't see any reason to exclude a football club as it is a legitimate business and the Premier League when looked at it a certain way is a top product.

Some folks will find this sinister and some folks will think it is wrong without knowing the true facts. However, this is exactly why our club has been left behind while others move forward. 10 years ago we would never dream they would catch us and surpass us but here's the reality.

Disgusting. That said if anyone wants see extortion have a look at Arsenal's matchday pricing. Eye watering stuff.

I'll have to go over to the mix and have a read.

I did think that when things started to fall apart for us, it's usually not long after that similar happens in Wolverhampton and was worried they'd miss a turn this time. Fingers cross they keep up with tradition.

This is not the Wolves I had known since I began supporting the team from season 1953/54. which is 70 seasons ago now, only the Bhatti years were worse than the current administration. Are they working to destroy our love to this club?

Ungrateful those lot are.

Hopefully Lai ends up selling us, buying them and gives them something to genuinely moan about.

I'm not going to get anything done at work now, this is quite funny.

So in sumamry, exisitng manager/coach Lopetegui is close to leaving due to "broken promises". If he stays the fans will turn on him quite quickly (probably 5:15 on Saturday) and if he goes so do all the first team coaches (as he had his own team) and they end up with Gary O'Neil.

There is now a thread on the mix discussing O'Neil and look at the positives and so far they have he's not Lampard or Saunders  ;D

Taking my tinted glasses of for a second, it's all typical markings of a relegation season already.

Just hope we can start to turn around our situation as we could be playing them next season.

They’ve spent £130million across the last couple of windows and now the whinging gits are moaning that they’re not spending more and having to cut cloth accordingly.

You get into bed with Mendez and you end up reaping what you sow. There’s only one winner and it’s not Wolves.

Didn't they get to a European quarter final just a few years ago?!

Have to be one of the favourites to go down now.

Wolves have a through line of fantastic owners since the 80's. Hayward of course invested tonnes and even sold them on condition of investment, Morgan didn't work out that well but had the clubs interest at heart and again sold the club on condition of investment, rejecting others in the process. FOSUN have invested tonnes and through Mendes attracted players they never could have dreamed of.

They're easily one of the most fortunate clubs in the country when it comes to owners. We have never had any real investment. The difference between Peace, who's entire fortune stems from this football club who was determined to get every penny out of the 200m he asked for regardless of how shady and sketchy the prospective buyers were, and Wolves last two owners who sold for less to good owners for less on promise of investment is very stark.

At any rate they've chose a very good season to have a meltdown. Luton's budget is just entirely uncompetitive in the premier league, and Sheffield United are in a complete mess and already coming up with a poor squad. Then there's a bunch of other clubs who are likely strugglers - Everton again, Forest have done poor business, Palace and Fulham lost their talisman without replacement, Brentford without Toney, Burnley should struggle also....Least competitive bottom half in a while I think.

Article in the express and start today about how Fosun nearly bought us, which i think was common knowledge anyway.

I think the blow is that he's gone so close to the start of the season. Not sure they'll go down but they'll certainly struggle this season.

Obvious glory hunter.

But for England calling us our star strikers we would have won the league instead of them that season and completing the double.
