I don't hate them anywhere near as much as Villa but their fans have gotten very arrogant since all that money was pumped into them.

Would be nice to watch the meltdown  ;D

That's very funny. It would be funnier in exact timeline but funny nonetheless. Especially the bits about not signing players who go elsewhere, signing players who are injured, playing them before they're up to fitness and getting even more injured and playing a goalkeeper with a broken wrist when they could have got some cover.

Then there's what sounds like a McDoughnut situation with Sellars. What isn't funny is that all this has happened under a 'Football Committee', something which Mr. Gourlay wants to implement here so I'll keep my sniggers to myself for now.

Diego Costa is sent off for HEADBUTTING Ben Mee in the dying seconds of Wolves' draw with Brentford

Great signing for them 😂

Someone said on Twitter he will be their version of Nicolas Anelka for us.  Big money and little to offer

#Wolves are moving closer to appointing Julen Lopetegui, their No. 1 target, as head coach. Negotiations are now back on and progressing well. Crucially, Lopetegui instigated the talks earlier this week #wwfc 🚨

Lopetegui confirmed.

Interesting that is, wolves and villa have all gone Spanish with appointments - and I would suggest three good appointments

Wolves lose 3-2 after being 2-1 up. Now only above bottom due to goal difference.

I think for their PL future it all comes down to how much cash the owners are willing to spunk in Jan window.

EDIT -  Just looked and they have a net spend of 324m since 2016/17  :o

the reason they didn't spend much in the summer was due to FFP rules. Selling Gibbs-White for a ridiculous fee allowed them to then bring in what they did.

it's why the price tags on Neves, Neto and Traore are so high.

they also have the issue of the MIA Raul Jimenez.

They absolutely did Forest over with MGW. A decent player but nowhere near worth that they paid. Dirty dingles proper mugged them off.

Just seeing the England squad including the name Coady (Everton) brought home just how bizarre the decision to loan him out was. Its not as if Wolves are loaded with top class defenders. Otherwise they wouldn't be bottom of the league.

Neither are England. Sign of the times. Not exactly blessed with top class keepers either if fairly recent history's anything to go by  ;D .

They had a really bizarre summer in terms of defenders. Whilst Coady was definitely their best defender and genuinely a quality CB, they also got rid of Saiss, Dendonker and Boly. Saiss and Dendonker offered a lot to the team and even Boly did well over the years. Even worse, Dendonker and Boly were sold to Premier League rivals.

I don't think there's ever been a summer where a team has released 4 regular players from their defence in one go - it is utter madness. Even crazier, these defenders also contributed a few goals as well, so even from an offensive perspective it wasn't good either. To me it looks like the owners have given up.

Didn't realise there were cup games on last night. The dingles managed to be the lowest ranked professional team, Gillingham , 2-0 at home.

Wolves get another kind draw in the league cup quarter final, avoiding Man City, Man Utd and Newcastle. They play Nottingham Forest.

Really hope they don't make the final.

Anything that takes their attention from their relegation battle is fine by me (as long as they don’t win it of course)  ;D

There can be upsides to tribal rivals making finals. I give you the FA Cup Final of 2015. Arsenal 4 v 0 Aston Villa. It really could have been ten. Complete and utter abject humiliation before millions of people on national TV plus who knows how many others worldwide.

I just knew they were going to get battered so I got the beers in, put my feet up and watched it all unfold. The look of desolation on those faces, the tears running down their cheeks, the blubbering of jowls. Hilarious.

It made for wonderful viewing in our household especially as they'd knocked us out in the quarters thus saving us taking said beating ourselves. I almost PMSL. Of course it could always have gone the other way..... but that's what the TV remote's for  ;) .

Wolves are weighing up a possible move for Coventry striker Viktor Gyokeres from E+S. 10-15m is required apparently.

Thanks for the memory. I was visiting my brother on a short trip from Spain. We decided the best place to watch the game was The Prince of Wales in Moseley. The pub and beer garden were chocka. I almost felt sorry for the handful of vile fans there. The abuse was incessant all day, and all night long from Blues and Albion fans. The greatest FA cup final since 68. What a fantastic day!

Absolutely robbed this evening. Frightful  ;D

Sadly, they will survive comfortably if they play as they have in the first few games under Lopetegui.

Impressive tonight, I’ll give them their due, and the credit they deserve.

Might not like them but they are a decent side and Lopetegui could be an inspired hire
