Play The Youngsters
ex coseley kid:
It's time for change.
1. Many of the old guard have not been up to it for well over a season now and the sooner we get rid the better.
2. We need to plan for the Championship 25-26 NOW. This season's a dead firework.
3. They simply need to be on that pitch.
Albion79:
I am torn on this.
I can see the appeal of playing the youngsters, get some matchday experience and see how they cope.
On the other hand i think the atmosphere will be toxic for the remaining games, once again some of these wasters have downed tools and let us down and i think people have already decided the manager isnt for them so i am not sure its fair to chuck the youngsters into that environment, they havent done anything wrong.
LiamTheBaggie:
It sounds romantic to do but it won’t happen whilst it’s mathematically possible.
I am with you though that I am fed up of the current crop and we really need to see more of the likes of Diakite, Whitwell, Bostock, Mohammed and co to at least establish whether we can have a view to them being involved next season.

I actually think using those youngsters takes the toxicity out of the stands - I don’t see the Albion support turning on those.
They will however turn should we see Swift, Wallace, Bartley, Mowatt and Diangana to name but a few rocking up with their usual half bothered attitudes.
graka:
From the brief highlights we see of the under 23 we seem to ship goals pretty consistently but our best defender from that group is out on loan
Carlos had us hard to beat and not conceding too well but that did effect our creativity by consistently playing plodders in midfield with no pace or energy
But to get promoted from any league you need to be defensively solid and control midfield
So the conundrum of playing fellows and Johnston which I want means only one forward has we need 3 in the middle
For me our midfield 3 needs to contribute more and also Johnston needs more goals and assists other than being a threat
Can Whitwell be any worse than swift or mowatt or molumby?
Deeming looks a decent prospect and the right back Nelson is also highly thought of but needs to go out and play some men’s football
Only Whitwell and Taylor and obviously Griffiths look ready for championship football
You can argue Price,Diakite and Bany are also young enough to build a team around but I have not been impressed with the cameos from Bany so far but they are exactly that
Signing a decent left back would allow Styles to be utilised in midfield where he has played internationally and also Price is a proven international
