Where do we start! Steve Cooper, Mark Robbins, Gary O’Neil, Tony Mowbray, Slaven Bilic, Igor Tudor, Lee Carsley, Russell Martin????

I would love Steve Cooper, who I think is very knowledgeable and would know about the best loan players to target and has proved himself.

However, I think they will get a foreign coach on a short contract and see how he gets on until the end of the season.

Personally I would also consider John Mousinho of Portsmouth.

Lee Carsley is a great shout and Igor Tudor is very interesting.

Russell Martin..... I'd be gutted to see that happen.
Whenever things look bad, remember the Port Vale, Grimsby and Walsall days... not so bad now, eh?!

Igor Tudor's one on my list that I'd seen already mentioned but has good pedigree. A fun one (though highly unlikely) is Malmo's Henrik Rydström or somebody of his ilk, mostly because it would be funny to see people try to deduce the formation when there basically isn't one.

Lee Carsley has no management experience. Mark Robbins seems the obvious choice for an astute coach used to working on a budget in this league.

If he brings his former number 2 apparently he was the brains behind the operation

No idea where we turn but I don't think it's going to be a manager whose in this country.

I imagine it will be an extremely left field appointment which isn't mentioned on here.

I don't want Robins.

He's like Darren Ferguson and Peterborough, some managers know one club inside out and fail elsewhere
, and I think that is Robins.

I wouldn't mind Gary O"Neil too if Cooper does not fancy it.

Dood just tweeted:

Patel stood strong and they eventually paid the entire sum upfront!

That will help towards the next manager ??

Good night Baggies and have a merry Christmas!

Catch you all  🔜

Thank the stars. If their owner is as bad as made out then installments could have been painful

We were linked with an ex Torino manager a couple of months ago. If there was anything in that it may resurface. Maybe also worth researching ex Bologna managers or recent times (pre Motta) I can’t say I have any idea who my personal choice would be at the moment. Absolutely gutted

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Igor_Tudor

Former Juve player.

As a manager wiki says he was assistant at Juve, then in charge at Hellas Verona then Marseille and recently Lazio but quit Lazio after a few months due to not finding ground on transfers. 😂

Coaching style also from.Wiki

Known for his forward-looking philosophy, Tudor seeks to impose an aggressive style of play in his teams. Describing his preferred style of play whilst manager of Marseille, he said “I want courageous and intensive football, not only uniquely based on the defence. I want people who come to the stadium to be entertained and not disappointed.”

I wouldn't mind an experienced/uninspiring appointment for the remainder of the season while we search for someone a bit more left-field - maybe a 2. Bundesliga coach or an U21 coach from somewhere

Not sure how you can possibly deduce that re Robins.  He succeeded at Coventry over 7 years and hasn’t been anywhere since!

Good manager.  Did very well at Bournemouth and was harshly sacked although it proved a masterstroke with his replacement.  Sorted Wolves out last season and had the rug pulled from under him with Fosun’s transfer strategy this summer.

We could do a lot worse.

I bet Coventry fans said the same thing about Lampard before they got him. The  manager is the single most important person at a club . We should spend the whole of the compensation on the new managers wages.
