I thought Racic looked fine first half in a 5 3 2 but as soon as we switched systems the pace of the game passed him by .

There’s no mid-season recall clause in international loan deals. They have to be season-long loans

How recent is that ruling? I am sure there were cases of players on loan from Premier League clubs and Serie A returning to La Liga in the last January window.

If it were possible I would be happy to let him go.

I was familiar with him from his Valencia days when he was being touted as having a very high ceiling. Obviously something has gone array for him to be at his peak and playing championship football but the regression is stark.

I thought he had a decent first half it might even have been his best in an Albion shirt but was nothing special and I guess that in itself speaks volumes.

I think he's a frustrating player. He has a lot of ability / potential, I feel you can see that much but there is something major missing.  It wouldn't surprise me to hear he can look incredible in training but just cannot bring his ability in to games and at 27 he probably never will on a consistent basis.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a new manager put him in to start matches, before slowly dropping him out again as they learn he cant deliver what his attribute suggest he could.  Not sure if this makes any sense to anyone besides me.

He really is a terrible.

I read today that now Corberan has gone, they are now reconsidering whether to send him back as was planned, until a new manager had seen him.

There's nothing to see anymore, he is just not good enough and for someone his size he has absolutely no presence.

Agree with every word, we have to cut our losses with him surely.

Get rid for me. Has ability no doubt about it but he's not suited to the EFL

He’s a player you bring on at 2-0 up and he looks like a cut above, not a player you play in a blood & thunder away game in the championship. For ours & his sake he needs to go back, he completely hid from the ball in his appearance today, his confidence is shot & I can’t see it coming back anytime soon.

Apparently we can’t unilaterally decide to cancel his loan.  On international loans both clubs have to agree to end it early.

Let's try and make that happen then. Thankfully we have no obligation to buy.

Don't think he is any upgrade on Chalobah. Concerns me that Diakitie is behind him in the pecking order.

Diakites problem was he had a stinker when given a starting position despite relatively sound appearances as a sub.

Corberan then gave him another chance and he said he was injured in warm up when asked to play CB.

He's been done ever since then.

Not quite.  I’ve been corrected.  I was only half right when I said we can’t just send him back. We can only do so if the parent club agrees.  That’s the only basis on which an international loan can be terminated in January.  If the parent club refuses then we are stuck with him.

He deserves a run of games 1 bad performance vs the 10+ racic has given isn't a fair chance. Not to mention he's our player vs a 1 season loan so we might as well see what he's got

Clearly a decent player but I’ve lost patience because he is completely powder puff. The only thing we haven’t done is try him as attacking midfielder which I think he has played before.

But to be honest I’d rather be trying out Whitwell in that position than Racic.

Replacing Racic would be the issue - we’re too short in midfield to just let him go.

We can't just send him back. His parent club have to ask for him back/agree to take him back or the player has to request it and the parent club agree. There might also be a financial penalty.

Racic has just posted on Instagram and it's a little cryptic.

"A lot goes wrong before everything can go right" with the hands together 'i'm praying ' emoji and also the 'sands of time' draining down emoji.

If he's counting down to the Jan window to move on then it makes me happy.

Would be better for everyone if the clubs could reach a mutual agreement for him to be sent back.

He came with high hopes and has since flattered to deceive. I would have no qualms with him leaving if it enables us to sign a more fitting replacement.

A little surprised he managed to raise the effort in all honesty.

He does a highlight video of himself after every game, as he didn't play this seems to have taken it's place.

I wonder what his honest assessment of his time here would be. He’s clearly got ability but it just has not worked for him at all
