Was a pretty poor performance, so lethargic and slow. If Cardiff had a bit more about them they easily could've scored need to buck our ideas up if we are to get anything on Friday play like yesterday and we will be leaving with nothing.

You score after 1 minute you expect the flood gates to open and constantly attack them but literally the only other chance we had was the 2nd goal. The highlights on YT sum it up

Not a pretty watch at all.
I think I've only ever seen Albion score in the first minute on two occasions and they didn't win either one,it really doesn't mean a thing.

An unknown kid with as far as I am aware zero league action under his belt will be lucky to play a few minutes here and there, Fellows didn't get a great deal of playing time at Crawley.
I find it hard to think West Ham would expect him to play regularly for a team in the Championship pressing hard for a play off spot.
Just being in a different environment can enhance a young kids development but eh ho we all see things slightly differently.

I'm not saying he should be guaranteed playing time, i don't agree with that unless it's clearly Messi Jr and we extremely lucky to have him, but if clubs look at how we have used young lads on loan in our past and it might not look good then we need to be pickier.

Hopefully a rich new owner comes in and lets Corberan buy who he wants but the chances of that are slim to none i reckon.

Can anyone remember us scoring a goal quicker than last night's opener at the Hawthorns ? I've been going since the early 70's and can't recall one ,though the memory isn't what it used to be and most of the games in the 80's/90's were watched through the haze of a few pre-match pints.

78/9 at home to Ipswich first game of the season I seem to remember us scoring quickly, Ally Brown but can't find the time of the goal anywhere. We won 2-1.

I can remember that but couldn't tell you anything about the last few seasons

Cheers  but can't read the full article as too tight to subscribe to the Express&Dingle. How quick was Ally Brown's?

We were in the middle of 3 games in 6 days! Once you're ahead it's inefficient to waste energy trying to score 5. It's still only 3 points.

If Cardiff had gone for it and thus left big gaps, that would have been a different story. But they weren't bothered for lots of the match and the onus is on them to do something about it, at that point.
Whenever things look bad, remember the Port Vale, Grimsby and Walsall days... not so bad now, eh?!

Spot on, think people forget there are 2 teams on the pitch. Cardiff showed virtually zero ambition for 60 mins, which made it difficult for us to create anything, and we didn't really need to waste the energy trying. As soon as they came out we opened them up and scored the second. Whilst I wish we didn't sit off teams quite as much as we do, we're not the team we used to be at this level, we can't smash teams every week any more.
