I wanted a win, but not really upset. They were the better team who wanted more.

Couldn’t find a stream anywhere Baggies 82 so don’t know how you managed that. Well done!
Agree, from what was posted, Coventry were the better team on the night and deserved their win albeit from giving away a last minute penalty.

I’m on holiday in Tenerife which makes it a bit easier to watch, Including the weather! Another note for the travelling support - looked excellent as usual. A tad more hospitable than at Sunderland!

Gyokeres looks to me as good as any striker in this division. Will be surprised if he stays with Cov much longer.

My take as well. Looks a little bit too good for this level but probably lacks pace to do any damage in Prem, one of those.

My one real disappointment this year has been Swift, put another nothing performance in tonight. You can see he has quality in him but he’s played a fair few games that just seem to pass him by, tonight was a prime example of that. I can’t think of many times he’s taken a game by the scruff of the neck like Wallace does.

I thought the manager got that wrong from the start but at 5 wins in 7 after the start we had i wont complain too much.

He was loyal to his 11 that put rotherham to the sword withoit getting into third gear. I think rogic and swift at home against the leaser lights of league you can get away with but not away from home. Think it should have been TGH and okay from the start.

Would have liked to have seen Dike with BTA and a change of shape. Palmer had a good dame. Okay was our best player by some distance. Cov were a good team and thought for large parts of game outplayed us but we almost got a point of 3. Wallace could have squared on the one attack and Rogic should have smashed his chance in. So overall not too dispondent

On to the bristol game. And hopefully a return to winning waysto make it 6 from 8 wins under Corberan. we have 69 points to play for and we need 41-45 points if we are going o make a play off charge. Which if we carry on at 5 wins every 7 then he aill do it.
O Albion we love you

I agree with that. Swift has a bit of quality about him but doesn't stamp his influence on games enough.

He was better than Rogic last night though I thought the Aussie was absolutely awful.

As someone else said I think you can get away with playing both together occasionally but for the most part it needs to be one or the other with Molumby or TGH partnering Yokuslu.

Our support sounded excellent from where I was (not at the game) so what was wrong Lee?

Out fought and out played last night. Although we were poor in the first half, we had some really good opportunities that we spurned with a poor final pass or a lack of quality on the odd occasion we did break the press with Phillips and Thomas-Asante the biggest culprits, both worked very hard last night though I should add.

Corberan never really got the build up play or pressing structures right and seemed hesitant to utilise our numerical advantage out wide although when we did begin to in the second half, we didn't get much quality from those areas.

I too thought Swift and Rogic, who I thought was particularly poor, was a little lightweight and was surprised at the selection. Live and learn, on to the next one.

Final word for Palmer who did not deserve to be on the losing side.

I’m never really critical but it was pretty silent all night, coventry fans to the right showed us up really.

Ok, I will take your word for that. Sounded good though, perhaps our expectations were a bit too high and we came up against our first real opposition since Corberan took over

Maybe mate, it’s happened quite a lot over the years when taken a large following. Hats off for the numbers though.

2nd best throughout - over run in midfield - Rogic and Swift were great Saturday but poor last night

Okay was excellent again and really hitting form, Palmer improves every game and looks a very, very good Gk

Phillips brings nothing - Carlos doesn’t look like he rates Grady

Townsend has been poor for as long as I can remember - gives the ball away more than anyone I’ve seen in an Albion shirt

If, and it’s a big if, we have funds in January I would have on my wish list two new full backs, centre half and a centre forward

Very good start by Carlos but this game brings a little bit of perspective into where we are as a squad - I.e a million miles away from being able to compete / stay up should we somehow manage to get promoted

back down to earth with a bump. i promise not to get too excited anymore

Darnell Furlong passed the ball forward twice all game, the rest were back passes, i just don't rate him. we need two new fullbacks

Very disappointing night BUT let's hope Carlos learnt a bit more about his squad and tactics.

Surprised how defensive we were from the off.

Still, onwards to Ashton Gate !!!   :D

Disappointing result last night, but never mind, If someone had told me 7 games ago we would win 5 and lose only 2 I would have said I have what ever your drinking.  ;)

A different line up could still have under performed. It happens!

Rogic and Swift may well be better when the pattern of play has been established, rather than starting them and hoping they will cease the initiative, particularly away but there wasn't too many complaints with the line up pre-game and sometimes the opponents will play well.  I can understand why the boss decided to do it, even if it didn't work.  We were still on the verge of a point before a clumsy challenge.

Watched the IFollow stream. No Andy Johnson this time, missed him.

I thought Coventry deserved the win. They were all over us first half - over ran us. We were lethargic and the passing was poor.

I think we were too cocky after the wining run and thought we'd turn up and roll them over. Hopefully Corberan will sort that out.

Not too concerned but need to get back at it Boxing Day.

Playing Swift and Rogic on the field at the same time is a luxury that only works with bottom half clubs.  Teams like Coventry you need another combative player alongside Yokuslu.  Some would prefer TGH (he's one of our own) but I think that Molumby is a better tackler and has a better understanding with Okay

Really poor first half and but for the excellent Palmer we could have been 3 down. Rogic should have buried his chance.
We just looked so sluggish and lethargic all over the pitch, especially at the back. Time for Bartley and Ajayi to come back in.
Midfield was too lightweight, should have started TGH next to Okay with either Swift or Rogic on the bench.
Diangana should have started or at the very least been given 20 mins to try and help change the game.
Thought Dike should have been on with BTA too.
But hey ho we are going to have poor games and Coventry just wanted it more and had enough quality to put us under pressure.
On to Bristol City.

Excellent post. As a collective we are not good enough despite an obvious improvement since Corberan. Would love to see additions in January but, based on other news coming out, this looks increasingly unlikely.

Fair play to Coventry - thought they were excellent in periods. Didn't allow us to settle and really closed down our options going forwards meaning we were often going backwards.

Yokuslu and Palmer the pick of the bunch from our lot.

Dust ourselves down and go again next week.
