With next season in mind I'd go 4-4-2 and before people berate me about loan players we still need a balanced team and I know dara is better at centre half but offers more defensively than furlong which is a must in a back 4

                                                   Palmer

O shea.                Kipre.                            Clarke.        Townsend

Phillips.               Molumby.              TGH.                   Diangana

                             Carol.                     Robinson

Subs Button, ajayi ,Reach, Livermore, Castro, Fellows,Tulloch

With Castro,Fe!lows and Tulloch getting half an hour in place of Phillips,TGH and Robinson unless injuries occur

Bruce has talked about the squad overhaul and refresh, now the play-offs are mathematically beyond us, it would be good to get an indication of who he wants gone by his team selection, even if they're on the bench. I'm not saying play an XI made up of youngsters but the 5/6 senior pros he doesn't want next year certainly don't need to start.

We are relatively well-sourced fro CBs ad direly resourced for midfielders therefore I would remain at 3-5-2 but give some youngsters a chance - if not now then when?

                                       Palmer

                  Ajayi               O'Shea               Kipre'

  Ingram          TGH           Molumby             Andrews          Reach

                        Fellows                   Carroll

Reach is a better crosser than Townsend and can use right foot on occasion.

Not a happy hunting ground for us. Have we ever won at the Madejski?

Only once I think, 2-1 in Feb 2020. Pereira and Bartley.

Thanks Hull. You are right and, just my luck, I missed that one having been at least 5 times previously :'(

Donohue was 'that' ref against Charlton. He also reffed us in this fixture last time around. And we actually won.

I was due to miss that one but a last minute change of plans meant I could attend. Very chuffed to have been there given some of the absolute dross I've seen us churn out down there over the years.

Wonder how many will bother going to this one then? I see an entertaining 2-2 draw, neither team anything to play for, although asking for 2 goals from our lot seems tantamount to asking a legless dog to climb everest without assistance.

I'm in plus two others. Just had a look at the seating plan on the OS. My guesstimation would be less than 150 seats are currently remaining from an allocation of 2,100.

Fair play to those that are going. I feel pretty dejected by the clubs incompetence and poor decision making, and the body language of most of our players this season. Really hoping some pride can be restored for next season. I may sound a bit like a spoilt sport, perhaps i am, but given how things were a few years ago even, theres no comparison with our bunch of representatives from your scharners, mulumbus, heck even fortune's.

As well as being a really poor team, reading have lots of players out through injury and illness, so anything but a win for us would be a very poor result. I'm really hoping that at least a couple of the more promising youngsters get a start for the last 2 matches.

so Reach-around will start at LWB, if it keeps him out of midfield I guess that a good thing?

Townsend is probably the better defender and his game is suited as fullback where as Reach is a superior wingback. With this enforced change we my get something out of this game as I don’t think the tactical genius would of changed much.

Last away game of the season so it's a must. Nice early start for a few beers in Reading. Looking forward to this one.
