Much much better, Pulis like in how deep we are defending but we're actually doing something with it when going forward, we've kept them very quite and nearly scored ourselves, more of the same next half.

Worked all game so far, they don't always have the games on but when they do the stream tends to work perfectly.

I watch while at work (8 hours behind over here) so it's hard to comment during the game on games in the middle of the week. Yes it's a TP-like setup in that it's a 4-5-1 but it converts to a 4-3-3 when we win the ball. Liverpool is winning possession easily but we have been able to make our presence felt when we have the ball as well. LP has come closed on a couple of occasions but we probably had the best chance on a shot from HRK from outside the box (in the middle, not from the wing) that he tried to finesse towards the top right corner - it hit the cross bar and went out.

Solid 1st half. McClean working hard without much to show for. You can sort of say the same for HRK I guess. Rondon has done well with holding up the ball and linking up but once again hasn't really had a chance at goal. Good game from Livermore and Yacob too, The Pole has been ok. Nyom worries me though, you get the sense LP will score due to him eventually. HRK has been tracking back a lot due to Robertson getting forward so much.

They've done well there - credit to them

Only downside is that when we do break away we just do not look capable of scoring

We've defended very well though

Rondon has been excellent.

To be honest Liverpool have come very close on a couple of occasions, but we are getting forward as a team. 6 or 7 players attacking at a time. This could go either way, which is a statement in itself.

Our backs are frustrating them, but we haven't any teeth at the front.

Think we need to weather this first 10 minutes, I imagine Klopp will have given them a rocket so I expect Liverpool will come out and up the tempo to start the half.

We haven't exactly given our front man/men much to chew on in front of goal though have we?

The worst thing about following our games at the moment is that I always expect to get hammered. We then battle away and my hopes get raised. Just when I think we can get an unlikely point or may be even dare to think we might get a late winner. The inevitable happens and we concede a late goal! Hopefully not tonight 😣
