Let's not forget that Villa had a cast iron penalty decision go against them.  They should have beaten us...

If anything that would have opened the game up and we probably would have played a lot better.

Oh and it was a stonewall penalty but you get some and you don't, on another day that would have been given. That's what happens when you're down there though and you're desperate for decisions to go your way.

We need a creative central midfielder - Fletcher and Yacob don't create. They're there to act as front line defenders. Without Morrison there's absolutely jack pooh going forward down the middle of the park and Sess and McClean are predictable down the wings. We need to address that first and foremost. Remember when we had no wide players and we were all begging for them? Were limited but use our wide players a lot more, and STILL have no bite.

Creative midfielder needed desperately.

That was embarrassing from you lot, playing for/settling for a 0-0 against the worst team in the league and one of the worst sides in our history. When all is said and done though it's still a better point for you than us. You were there for the taking but we still couldn't win which sums up why we're where we are.

We looked alright in the first two thirds of the pitch by our standards. Our trouble is the final third, Gil is on a different wavelength to everyone else and is wasted in our team. Kozak and Gestede are as bad as each other and have no mobility or movement. Our crossing for a Premier League team is laughably bad, we hit the first man nearly every time. Worst culprit is Bacuna who couldn't cross a road. If we could cross a ball I think we'd have won that today but our final ball was poor and for all our possession I never really thought we'd score.

It was a shocking game though, so devoid of quality on both sides. I knew we wouldn't score before the game as you're hard to break down and you've got some old heads at the back. That's what we lack leaders in the team, and a 30 goal a season striker!

We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when...

Happy, maybe because I didn't expect us to turn up and win 3/4 nil or didn't go I'm not sure, I think it's because villa should have had a STONEWALL penalty against Ollson  :D, too funny, we were rubbish today going forward our play is borderline rugby some games and very boring to watch I feel extremely distant from what is happening at the club.

If villa fans ain't disappointed tonight then there's something wrong as this was the game that sent them down they should have beat us today no question from me.

Judging by pulis comments on Rondon it seems he is a bit tired and bored with our set up and will be given a week couple weeks to rejuvenate he's spark.

I'll be there next week in the cup hoping we can play Macca, Gnabry, poco etc and just have a go.

On a sidenote I thought Dawson, foster and mcclean at times came out of today with some credit.

I'm not too disheartened by that today. Fletcher clearly wasn't fit, and we looked exactly like a side who's played 4 games (3 away) in 10 days.

It would have been nice to win, but a point is useless to them at the moment, and they're not as bad as the league suggests. After all they're unbeaten in how many and beat Palace.

We looked very poor, but we're still 13th and in the 4th round of the cup. I think as a whole it's still very good.

We missed Brunts delivery and Morrisons work rate as well.

I think what we lack most is that one player with a bit of pace down the wing.

Sessegnon was awful today and Berahino Wong be going nowhere on that. He really will be the next Luke Moore.

We move on and continue laughing as the Villa get closer to being relegated.

I thought McClean was poor for you. Yacob and Dawson were your two best players. Your strikers looked as poor as ours, there wasn't a decent one on the pitch at any point.

While I would never want Pulis managing us (I know we're bottom but I couldn't watch his football every week) he knows his limits and his team's limits. If you had of been more open and expansive today we might have won because you may have been easier to break down. That's why you'll never go down with him because when it comes to it you can grind out a 0-0 or a 1-0.

I thought you should of played gabby and grealish same story for us though our best footballers wasn't and don't play for us.

I disagree I think if we had a bit of fluency today and intent we could of won, but who knows.

Villa killed us today and I took great satisfaction from them being denied a stonewall penalty.

under the circumstances I thought pulis put out the best team we could[apart from evans at centre, half and poco at fullback],gardner played very poor in his favourite position, mclean and sess final ball was terrible, also free kick delivery in 3 excellent positions very poor,i believe had brunt delivered we would have scored one and everyone would be happy, yacob and dawson emerge with great credit, pulis subs were good mac maybe a 20mins earlier though,a better team would have been out of sight against villa, within the first 20mins they virtually set us up twice with nervous passing amongst there back four and every time gardner just gave it back to them,2 things ,firstly they will be relegated, secondly im not sure where our next 12 safety points are coming from

Probably where we least expect it. We'll get games where we play rubbish but get a dodgy penalty or other teams players get sent off etc. That along with games where we actually play well and win occasionally, along with scraping a boring 1 nil here or there, plus some draws. We'll be absolutely fine, don't worry about it. Just be prepared to be a bit bored along the way.

I don't think we intended to settle for a nil nil, especially with the 3 subs all forwards we bought on 2nd half, our players let pulis down today, like you said there was very little quality on the pitch, the final ball from both teams was very poor,we had a couple of free kicks in very dangerous positions,on a good day brunt wouls have put in a good delivery and we would have won 1 nil, thats in effect all we do to get points,as regards villa you were the best team and wanted it more ,but from a negative point a better team than us would have been out of sight within the first 2o mins when your back four gifted us the ball twice

Any other team in the premiership and a lot of Championship teams would have beaten us today. It was one of the most abject performances I've ever seen from a West Brom side.

I said to my Mrs and her family who are all Albion season ticket holders that you're lucky we're rubbish. If we'd had even a tiny bit more quality we'd have won that today. That's why we're going down, as the song goes.

I genuinely think I'm jealous you'll at least see entertaining football from your team in the Championship. Watching the opposition is the best we have, like Southampton, who played some nice stuff against us last week.I'm not sure you can class what we play as football, it's disgusting to watch.

I think a big problem for us today was no James Morrison, who has been our most creative player this season where goals/assists are concerned. Usually when we break, it involves him and Sessegnon on the counter who can pass and run with the ball.
Today we had his replacement, Craig Gardner. Craig Gardner cannot run with the ball, and his passing is average at best.

I'd also say that Sissoko for you at left-back looked very solid, which is bizarre as to why he was loaned out previously. He more than dealt with Sessegnon who can often be a threat for us. I think had Sissoko not played then we may have had better luck with our attacks when Sessegnon went down the wings.

I wont defend an awful game but he put Cmac , Anichebe and Saido on in plenty of time.
That isn't coward behaviour , we had the ball in good positions but the delivery was shocking especially Sess. Badly missed a fully fit Fletcher , Morrison and the quality of Brunt today.
Not going to go at Gardner but he looked out of his depth and is purely a sub.
JP won't like it but this side needs some fresh attacking legs.

Not sure what was worse the football or that annoying song that every club now sings for some reason (occasionally different words but same drone).

God the whole thing is depressing  :(

Another game when you could tell an hour before kickoff that absolutely nothing was going to happen.

A typical Pulis sweat fest that he was clearly delighted with.

An unexcusable performance by the Albion today!! Prior to kickoff I did not have any delusional expectations of dominating this match and getting a 3-0 result by simply waltzing around the pitch at half speed for 90 minutes. Now having said that, I was looking for us to come out today in front of our fans and play this derby with some intensity and desire, being agressive offensivley to create a number of chances and put 1 or 2 past the worst team in the league sitting rock bottom of the table. I felt last weeks performance was dire but every club has their bad days and it was against a good side but to follow it up like we did today at home to an awful Villa team is unforgivable. As if we were not aware already but todays match if nothing else cemented in stone the glaring undoubting truth that we cannot score goals. I could maybe somewhat live with it if scoring was only an issue away from home but we cant score anywhere and it scares the rubbish out of me! Over half way through the season our strikers combined have netted a total of (7) league goals, it is safe to say we have a serious problem that can get us relegated. It is outright shameful to come out of this match without scoring a goal. A complete and utter waste of an opportunity to gain 3 points. So much to be upset about after this match! If it's out of fear of injury before he is sold off or an attitude issue, which by the way would resolve itself with playing time. Berahino needs to play when you look at his stats compared to Rondon's who has played 600 more minutes.

I fear for our safety after that effort, we need to be beating teams like that at home. The teams below us are spending to survive, agreed not always the best answer however when you have a squad like ours, who the manager describes as fatigued, no squad rotation and with a number of players appearing to be carrying injuries how can we really expect stay up.

There seems to be indecision around SB, sell him and get a replacement or play him from the go, he needs match fitness, Rondon is spent and IMO no suitable for the type of game we are asking him to play.
