Jack Butland showed his inexperience against Germany, he may be the future but he isn't quite ready yet. He's definitely not on the same level that Joe Hart is capable of performing at.

Fraser Forster's lack of mobility was shown up for the German second goal as well. For a 6 foot 6 keeper not to dominate his area is a sin and he isn't agile enough to react to the header/shot coming in at close range. So he just stood there like a dummy.

Tom Heaton isn't at the same level as Forster let alone Butland or Hart. With only Ben Foster to come back in we better not get any more injuries.

Great comeback it may have been, but it was far from a great performance. Our goalkeepers may have been ultimately at fault for the two goals in my opinion, but considering we were playing with Dier screening the back four, we should have been able to cut out the ball before getting to those positions.

Looks like the defence is trying to besmirch her character saying she also contacted Conor Wickham. They're also trying to prove she is an unreliable witness because she has changed her statements and doesn't remember contacting Conor Wickham. Looks like he has got a chance of getting away with the more serious charges.

You've just done Tony Pulis's pre match team talk!

When Fletcher retires and 'writes' his autobiography it will be interesting to hear what he has to say about Pulis' tactics and training compared to what he did at Man Utd.

Turkish Messi? WTF's he doing at Peterborough via Dulwich Hamlet of the Isthmian League Premier Division?

They've also just sold their star striker and top scorer to QPR.

Make it £20m plus Walters or £15m plus Marc Wilson. The Stoke move would be great for Berahino, playing in front of Shaqiri, Affellay, Bojan or Arnautovic he would get a lot of chances you would think. Then he might get a move to a big club if he bangs them in there.

And may be involved on Saturday.

He would do well played in an attacking formation as part of a front three with quick, intelligent players either side of him like when he was as Southampton. But that's never going to happen under Pulis, he'll just be used as a workhorse in a defensive 4-5-1.

Berahino, like a lot of young English players enjoy being a football player more than they enjoy playing football. They just want the money and the trappings.

Is Myhill's contract up at the end of the season?

About to sign for Norwich on loan for the season. Do they want to sign Anichebe or Ideye or any of our other cast offs?

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: James Chester Joins Villa
« on: July 28, 2015, 02:41:48 PM »
Hull City defender James Chester is at the centre of a tug of war after Leicester City made a dramatic 11th hour bid to beat West Bromwich Albion to his signature.

The 26-year-old Wales international was given permission to leave the Tigers’ training camp in Austria after agreement was reached over an £8m fee with the Baggies.

That, however, has since been usurped by Leicester making their own offer for a defender who has less than 12 months remaining on his contract at the KC Stadium.

Steve bruce is resigned to losing Chester but the player now has a huge decision to make as to which Premier League to join

West Brom’s initial bid is believed worth up to £8m should all the clauses in the deal be triggered while Chester is an Albion player.

The transfer fee will be undisclosed.

Good solid player, happy with this signing more than if we'd signed Caulker.

On loan for the season with a view to a permanent deal at the end of his contract sounds like a good piece of business if you ask me.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Player of the Season
« on: April 08, 2015, 11:08:44 AM »
Who would be your player of the season?

Nobody has really stuck out for me, there are a few honourable mentions: Berahino's goals, Ideye's attitude, Fletcher's leadership, Lescott's assurance, Brunt's displays in an unfamiliar position, Yacob's re-emergence, Dawson's displays in an unfamiliar position and Sessegnon's flashes of brilliance.

I'm hoping this will be the team on Saturday, but I feel Gardner may get in ahead of Sessegnon.

Seven straight wins for the England team, shows how well Hodgson is doing.

Yeah, against Norway, Switzerland, San Marino, Estonia, Slovenia, Scotland and Lithuania. Teams we should expect to beat.

We face anybody of quality and we lose: Uruguay, Italy, Germany and Chile over the past couple of years.

Assuming Pulis goes with that team our bench is pretty poor.

Subs: Rose, Baird, Wisdom, Pocognoli, Davidson, Gamboa, Sessegnon

Pulis's team:
                              Myhill
Dawson        McAuley       Olsson      Lescott
Morrison        Fletcher    Mulumbu     Gardner
                           Berahino
                             Ideye

My team:

                             Myhill
Dawson        McAuley       Lescott       Pocognoli
Gardner       Morrison       Fletcher      Sessegnon
                           Berahino

                           Foster
Dawson     McAuley      Lescott     Brunt
                 Fletcher      Yacob
Morrison            Mulumbu           Gardner
                       McManaman

With Sessegnon and hopefully 1 out of 3 of the strikers on the bench.

22
Neil Clement was a quality player and a model professional. Head and shoulders above the rest on the list.

23
Lescott over Olsson? Travesty! Lescott is obviously an upgrade but Olsson was our best defender for so long. I think Lescott and any other new signings should be excluded, because Fletcher is a shoe-in in midfield as well based on reputation after less than 10 games.

That seems to be close to TP's preferred line up. I would prefer McManaman or Sessegnon instead of Gardner for a bit of creativity.

25
I know Lescott is a class above anything we've had in the premier league. Full England International and Premier League winner. Should he be included in a greatest West Brom team when he hasn't even been here a season? It should be who has performed best for us over the longest time or who has had the most impact.
