West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Tony Mowbray appointed as Head Coach

I struggle to comprehend that there are some die hard 15 year old Albion fans whi were not born when Mowbray left for Celtic.

This must be the first new manager search that McInnes and Appleton haven’t been mentioned in 15 years perhaps?

Contract length is apparently posing problems.

I can’t remember a longer ‘search’ than this since when Pepe Mel replaced Steve Clarke, that went on some time.

It’s Mowbray for me after having thought about it all.

Does Mowbray still take Mark Venus everywhere with him?

Anyone got some tried and trusted spots? Happy to walk 15-20 minutes. Never been to Vicarage Road before and my last three away games I have been greeted with a square yellow sticker on my windscreen upon return.

I would like to see this new rumoured model whereby (using Guardiola) as an example Pep turns up for tournaments and has a dotted line to the set up day to day but has his team doing the scouting and taking charge of friendlies and qualifiers.

Man City take a 3 point lead already, that’s the season done and dusted then.

Are the new owners actually great and doing good things or have our standards just sunk so low after Lai?

Just playing devils advocate.

Just look how weak that bench is.

Todays squad is the sort of team we would have sent to an away Carabao Cup game last season against League two opposition.

Bottom half, unless our new players are absolute world beaters and have slipped under the radar of many a club.

Seen it with my own eyes today, I think it looks cheap and lower league. Could be a lot worse though.

Well, Forest’s statement against the PGMOL will ruffle many feathers. Some bizarre decisions though. I thought the first penalty claim could go either way as the attacker made a meal of it but Young did kick his ankle and not the ball. The second two penalties looked like clear to me.

I wonder if Hollywood Clattenberg was behind it.

Jammy or a well executed plan that has come to fruition?

Any others worth watching?

Nice and sensible opening statement from Shilen Patel. I’m glad he didn’t come out with the ‘Champions League’ in 5 years guff.
