If we take 900 or 1800 to Liverpool plus clappers we’re on our way to becoming the most tinpot team in the league

https://www.wba.co.uk/news/2017/july/discount-for-baggies-travel/

The Club have announced a £5 subsidy in the coach price for fans attending the new season’s first two Premier League away games at Burnley and Brighton.

The outcome of the offer will then be assessed as to its future use, while Baggies Travel users will also be given five loyalty points per game for choosing the Club’s official service.

So my question to the club is if you want to support the fans who use the club's official service will you also give the same loyalty points to those who use the Hawthorns Express to home game as these are a club official service as well.

The club had a real opportunity here to offer something substantive like free coaches or subsidised tickets, instead they've come up with this awful half baked offer that will make zero difference to numbers travelling.

We've taken less than 2000 tickets, another game which will be sold out weeks before due to further penny pinching. Easily sold out Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham and Everton tickets ffs.

I just can't fathom why Albion have only gone for the reduced allocation of 1800 for this one. It looks as if it's just the restricted view seats left and we're well over 2 weeks before the match. I'm sure we'd have sold the full 3000, or got very close to that figure, and feeling a bit hacked off with whoever made this daft decision.

Hopefully some people at the Albion Assembly bring this up although they'll likely be palmed off with excuses.

Embarrassing penny pinching yet again, thought this kind of thing would've stopped when Jenkins left.

Reckon some will be put off by the trouble factor of West Ham, should make our atmosphere better though.

Bit vexed by that myself as I always try to make a point of going towards the back to stand.

Still, could've hung on till the upper went on sale but I just wanted to get the purchase out of the way.

Never mind.

Really, really don't want to have to sit though  >:( .
Hopefully the upper tier won't be sitting (which does unfortunately happen) as that's likely where I'll be sitting.

Swansea have only sold 1000 apparently so looking at a low crowd, Utd should be close to a sell out though.

Well people like you really boil my urine aswell, no one at the club or you have a right to stop anyone going to any match they pay their money and have as much right as anyone to be there, according to your post opening you wasnt even there!!
So you're a fan of non Albion fans being in the away section then in large numbers? Bizzare.

I hear the away end was packed full of tourists today then? Boils my urine that does, sitting down and taking selfies all game no doubt. Someone at the club needs to stop these games going to general sale.

The club should stop games against the top 4 going to general sale, going to make the atmosphere rubbish with loads of tourists in our end. Happened last year at Arsenal, people filming the game on iPads and all sitting down in silence.

What's the current position re the Premier League regulations and safety of grounds act etc..? Can it be done ?.....ah kc56 has just answered the question I think

What a great step that would be, has been a huge success at Celtic and would be here.

Rubbish Devon

I was one chanting on the concourse - beer and emotion gets infront of you and before you know it everything else is secondary. At no point when I'm inebriated up with pals am I thinking about the tine of year and whether there's going to be a silence

I don't think anybody sets out to be purely disrespectful

Everyone with half a brain cell knows no one sang despite knowing it was a minutes silence, pathetic of Leicester fans to call us f*cking scum to be honest, a crass attempt at oneupmanship.

Support was class yesterday, how it should be - everyone standing and getting behind the team from the off. As for the poppy talk I completely agree, I usually donate a small sum instead of wearing a poppy - its lost all its meaning, it's turned into who can show the most 'respect' olympics.

Yeah, the online ticket-buying can be a bit complicated sometimes with various bugs etc which stop you from buying easily - that's my experience anyway.

Out of interest - anyone know how many we took last year? I know it was full but I remember it being around 3k which was a decent turn out.

Think it was about 2000 again, we took a reduced allocation

weve become the new wigan..defiently laughing stock of the midlands when it comes to away support
As I've said in the attendance thread we need to follow Stoke/Swansea and either cap away prices at £20 or do free coaches.

Has anyone who wants a ticket not got one? Nobody seems to be complaining that this is the case and therefore it would seem they have got the numbers correct.
Look how many people were asking for spares for Stoke, a lot of people leave getting tickets until late rightly or wrongly.

Looks like we've got the full 2000 then , shows 835 tickets in that block, assuming we've already sold 1,100
Think the full amount for Liverpool is closer to 3k

I’ve just been on the ticket site and there are ten tickets remaining for online sales. Now I know they keep numbers back for over the counter sales and understand there is going to be pay on the gate, but where have you got the number of sales being approximately 500 from please? Seriously doubt this to be true/accurate.

Yeah there's 10 tickets left in that particular block. We have nearly sold out that block which is roughly 400 people and sold out another much smaller block. However there are 4 blocks that we haven't sold any tickets in at all.

I agree.

Games at the 'bigger' clubs are the cheapest they've been for years, making it more affordable, but with the actions taken by the club our support is the worst it's been away from home for a long time.

1,100 to Liverpool is shocking.

Definitely, other similar sized clubs such as Swansea and Stoke offer free coach travel/ max price of £20 for away games, we do neither and take the smallest allocation possible each time. We are slowly turning into Wigan/QPR in terms of away support and something needs to be done.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Attendance

Saying Liverpool had offered us 2000  tickets and we only sold 1100 the club would still be charged for the tickets unsold as the tickets could not be sold to Liverpool fans. Take that as 900 x 30 = 27,000 pounds. The club don't want to lose that amount of money for nearly every away game.
27k is a pittance though, it's just absolutely nothing now to us. And thats assuming we wouldn't have sold out which I believe we would have. Its the first season in years that going to the big teams has actually been affordable, even Hull took their full allocation at Liverpool! It just shows that the club would rather not lose a tiny amount of money than have extra Albion fans at away games, they couldn't give a toss about our fans.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Attendance

Read on Facebook that our Max allocation for the Liverpool away game is 1100, bearing in mind we've sold out all non restricted view seats (900) with nearly a month to go. This is absolutely embarrassing and shameful from the club, I will be writing to Jenkins and John Williams to complain about us taking the smallest possible allocation for every game.

Looks like we've sold about 500 which is very poor.

It seems game on game our requested allocations get lower. We have requested a whopping 937 tickets for Liverpool.

I thought we would have asked for more this season, especially given the ticket prices.
In does says minimum allocation so hopefully we get more, very small time by the club though.
