Oh it's a sell on based on profit then yeah, it's nothing. I hoped as he was so highly rated it would have been a 'flat' sell on rate.

BLackpool fans saying he was looking a good champo player by the end of the season after getting regular match time in.
Yes he played well against us , should have scored, and looked like he was trying to impress.

Watford in for a long season by looks of training ground video on Twitter.

Val just going on about how if you press with intensity and force the opponents into mistakes etc whic is fine until the opponents give you the ball to do something with it yourself.

He's learnt nothing from his lesson from Fergie Jr.

In fairness it's Watford, he will probably be gone by Xmas regardless.

If they’ve got a capable striker they could be fine. We had so much ball in opponents halves and did create plenty of chances. Pretty sure we had the best defense in the league when he left and had only concerned once or twice from set pieces.

I’ll know it’s been done to death and not everyone agrees but I don’t think he was far off it here.

But we beat them.  i think Fergie Jnr was just bitter because it was a very late winner.

I know we beat them but he set the blueprint on how not to get beat by Val. Our team was miles ahead of theirs too.

Very possible JC. His refusal to adapt is what is held him back at everywhere he's been though. It's fine having a preferred system but a good manager is always flexible or can counter, the counter.

Blackpool’s Jerry Yates, 26, one of many strikers  linked to us has agreed terms with Swansea.

I would imagine that a 26 year old looking for the best contract terms of their career would be out of reach for us financially. We can’t compete for those type of players anymore.

Good goal record, good age and another signing by Swansea - they also beat us to the Exeter defender.

Assuming either was ever actually targeted by our Stalking and Monitoring Departments. Could have just been agent driven or press speculated mentions. Not remotely ITK by the way.

Swansea have attracted a bit of extra U.S. investment I believe, also picked up a bit of compensation money from Southampton for Russell Martin.

Leeds United are reportedly in talks with Brentford's Technical Director Lee Dykes (Daily Mail online) about the possibility of him becoming their new Sporting Director following Victor Orta's departure and subsequent appointment at Sevilla. Interesting.

If they got anywhere near the 24m reported that's a ridiculously good deal by the cov FC employees

Thought we should have gone in for Chong last year. Seemed a bargain at £1.5m with plenty of potential upside.

He was a great deal at 1.5m. Was there not a rumour we tried for him but couldn't afford him AND BTA so went for BTA instead.   Regardless up to 10m is crazy though.

I think we need to target Blues and Cov's executives after the deals they have done this week.

Blues have been making some shrewd moves this season considering their situation. Ethan Laird is a very good pick up for 750k, wouldn't at all be surprised if they profit off him like they have  Chong - the kind of move we should be all over but never consider.

Then beyond that Roberts for a nominal fee is pretty low risk given his age and young enough it might come together for him, Bielik on a free is decent work and still only 25, Dembele's a decent talent, and Miyoshi seems an interesting pick up. All in all good work from them. If they can recruit well on loans (and they did a pretty good job last season), then they could have a decent season.
