Usually, I don't want those scumbags to win a thrown in.

But, given Leeds lead over us I, God forgive me, I wanted them to draw.

I felt dirty and had to take a long bath and was gutted when they were winning 2-nil.

At the end I was elated. Sod the sotv forever.

Hopefully, Leeds will burn out as many of biesla's teams have previously and/or Norwich collapse.

Bad result and I can’t ever recall before being disappointed in a Villa defeat.  It’s now 6 wins on the spin for Leeds and with Blackburn and Hull at home in the next 2 then every chance for 8 in a row.

Also Norwich 9 wins and 2 draws from last 11.

We need to put Wigan and Sheffield Wed to the sword.

What I don't want is for us to end up in the Play-Offs, because that's just a lottery, and depends on who turns up on the day. Anyone else see an Albion v Villa Play-Off Final looming on the horizon?

Lots of twists and turns to come imo.

I think a lot will depend on who strengthens best in Jan.

We saw last year when mitrovic transformed Fulham when he arrived and who knows a box to box mf may do the same for us at the opposite end offer much needed protection to the defence.

I don't think Leeds and Norwich will keep up their current form and if we beat Norwich in a few weeks time then we'll be in the top then hopefully.

As I'll be on a flight to the US during the play-off final, I desperately hope not. I need us to go up automatically   :-\

Interesting the top three are all at home next two games. Norwich have Forest and Derby, Leeds have Blackburn and Hull (some local rivalries for Leeds?). Great chance for us to close the gap. COYB!

Another goal for Norwich in the 8th minute of injury time...interesting.
Must have different clocks at Carrow Road than the Hawthorns ;)

How much injury time has been added for Norwich this season? I'm sure with us and our 4-3 win at Carrow Road there was over 6 minutes added too.
With Leeds I can understand, it doesn't happen weekly and Mowbray is known to crumble, but Norwich seems very common. Still, we have gained on them.

Incredible the amount of late goals going Norwich and Leeds' way the past month. I'd say it isn't sustainable but it looks like it is.

Thats what I was hinting at. Some of the Norwich injury time is interesting...

Difference we've seen is that we've got quality to not rely on that, they're running on something that could easily run out over the course of the season to come... we only need one of them to do that!

Becoming very much a three horse race - Norwich are really taking the pee with their late goals. Seems to be every week they score in the last minute

That might come back to haunt us. He looks a fantastic player at the moment. Really impressed whenever I watch him play

I understand what you mean but I wouldn’t dismiss it as a quality! Grinding out results is good whoever you are

Roofe left when Appleton took him to Oxford on a 50% sell on clause.

He then perforened well there and they sold him to Leeds, netting us £1.5m.

We were in the prem at the time, where he hasn't played to date.

What is sad is none of our current youth players look like they are good enough.

We must have rated Roofe as I don't think we put the 50% sell on clause in every deal, but he wasn't going to get game time unfortunately.

If we hadn't sold him he wouldn't be the player he is now. Pointless us wringing our hands we sold him 5 plus years ago.
