We are taking a minibus of Norwich/Albion fans up to the match in March.  Challenge is to organise a real ale based pub crawl after the match where we can park the bus somewhere and walk to a number of good real ale pubs- in an evening for us this means four to five.  I have done this before when we have driven around, but this time the mini bus is full and we cannot take on a spare driver.  Welcome thoughts as to where we would base ourselves.

Have a look at the jewellery quarter
start at the Black Eagle in Soho then a very short drive over to the JQ and park up
Several good real ale pubs in easy walking distance including the Two Towers brewery 

REAL ale enthusiasts in Birmingham have launched a beer drinkers’ guide to pubs in a historic area of the city.

The free leaflet, published by the Birmingham branch of CAMRA, features 12 pubs in the famous Jewellery Quarter and will be available in tourist information centres, libraries and pubs

Come to Stourbridge. You've got the Crown, the Seven Stars and the Crabmill in Oldswinford, plus the Shrubbery in Heath Lane and the Plough by Mary Stevens Park, then in Stourbridge there's the Duke Willliam and in Lye there's the Sadlers Brewery tap house (bloody good food there as well).

Stourbridge, the home of really real ale.

You could do a tour of pubs based on black country breweries maybe?

Holdens have quite a few pubs in the area and Golden Glow is one of my favourites. Then you have Craddocks, Sadlers, Bathams, Enville and Black Country Ales.

Starting in Brierley Hill and moving onto Stourbridge is a good bet. Bathams at the Bull and Bladder/The Vine in Brierley Hill, move onto the Rose and Crown on the same street for Holdens (alternatively, the Shrubbery in Stourbridge).

Moving towards Stourbridge, you can then try the Windsor Castle Inn for Sadlers in Lye, then 5 minutes up the road to Stourbridge where you can have Craddocks at the Duke William and a number of pubs in Stourbridge stock Enville Ales which are as good as anything you could try around here. There are also Black Country Ales pubs in Halesowen, on the way to Stourbridge.

Edit, if you wanted to stay in Stourbridge, Bathams have 2 pubs there, the Unicorn and the Royal Exchange, which paired with the Shrubbery, could mean you don't have to move around too much.

Pure Bar and Kitchen is really good and does great food. Might be quite busy but it's worth it if you pre-book. Linked to one of the breweries in the area I think.

I love the Rising Sun in Tipton,massive selection of real ale and a great friendly atmosphere.

Don't forget the Wellington in Birmingham and the Post Office vaults both in between New St and Snow Hill, The Wellington must have the best selection in the country 🍺

there a few real pubs in Worcester, The Imperial, the Plough, the Cricketers and a few others along the Tything you can park near the racecourse ( that's if it is not under water ).

Just google the 'Delph Run'. A run of of about eight pubs along one stretch of road just outside Brierley Hill. It offers a good selection of different ales and is quite a pleasant stroll between each venue (only about 400 yards between each).

The challenge is to be able to walk back up to the mini-bus though.
