Because of the perception that it's Gourlay hiring "another friend". I believe Dood suggested it might even be as a "cash cow".

I personally think he's just the sort of coach we should be looking at - as long as we backed them up with an effective recruitment plan and gave them the support needed off the training ground (a lot to ask based on recent history, I know)

Also, some things mentioned in the Comments section of this article

I'd imagine there will be a strain put on UK policing this weekend - potentially next weekend as well. If that's the case then Football was always going to struggle to be hosted safely.

I saw this very point made yesterday as the police will need to manage the crowds paying respect in London. Yes, there will be intense strain on the police there.

If the aim is to sell the club then he wants promotion to maximise the price. I suspect he was less pleased than the majority here. He will be asking a few questions!

I recall seeing something whereby the police had asked for all the local sides to be drawn away due to conflicts with the Commonwealth Games
Also, The Hawthorns is a designated hub station for the Sandwell Aquatics Centre so they expect a lot of people travelling through. But the Games cover 2 weekends so does the request apply to both weekends?
It will be a good opportunity for the club to open the club shop throughout the Games as some visitors might pop in!

For those of you interested, Al Hilal beat Al Jazira 6-1 today in the club World Cup. Pereira scored the second goal. On Wednesday they face Chelsea so it should be shown in the UK. Chance to see how he is doing....

Yes, on E4 with kick off 4.30pm.

Yes, it's the Preston game that's currently in doubt. Not Derby. They're monitoring the players on an ongoing basis though.

'........ Set to be coming up over the rest of the festive period are away trips to West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City, with Ryan admitting it appears "very unlikely" the fixture at the Hawthorns will be able to go ahead given the club's current situation.

Ryan added: “We want to play, we’re not sitting here saying we don’t, we want to play as many games as we possibly can.

“I think what we do have to do is take each day as it comes. The lads have all gone home with tests and we’ll monitor tests every single day, and they’ll report back into the group.

“It looks highly unlikely [that the West Brom game can be played] to be honest with you because of the days and it’s so close, but we’ll just have to take every day as it comes.”

PNE game has now been postponed.

We’ve rarely got this close to an opponents goal this season. The one game we do, nobody knows what to do.  :P
Brilliant

The one time he gives us a foul and it's a disadvantage to us

He seemed to wait for us to break then blew up.

The two clubs that will be relegated with Norwich, could be decided by goal difference on the last day

It might come down to goals scored!
