As we are playing Swansea on Wednesday I expect Clarke to rotate - and utilise players with a view to Sunderland's strenghts/weaknesses. Clarke has shown in the opening 12 games - he is not afraid to make changes to a 'winning' team:

Myhill - Foster if available.

Jones
Tamas - McAuley if available.
Olsson
Popov

Yacob

Gera
Morrison
Brunt

Rosenberg
Lukaku

Subs: Myhill or L Daniels, Reid, Ridgewell, Dorrans, Long, Odemwingie, Fortune.

Difficult, we haven't actually won away playing 4-5-1 this season

---------------------Foster--------------------------
--Jones------McAuley---------Olsson----Ridgewell

--Dorrans------Morrison-------Yacob------Brunt

----------------Lukaku--------Long----------------------

You'd drop Odemwingie?  ???

It was touch and go for me GrGr. I think on second thoughts I would play him. He has a decent record v Sunderland. I was just trying to think what Clarke may opt for - with three matches in seven days - he will almost certainly rotate the squad.

I think Lukaku is nailed on to play this game, probably in place of Long whose injury they are still managing. Long's pressing game will be vital against Swansea, not so much against Sunderland. With that in mind;

Myhill/Foster

Jones
McAuley/Tamas
Olsson
Ridgewell

Yacob
Morrison

Odemwingie
Gera
Brunt

Lukaku

Subs:Daniels/Myhill, Popov, Reid, Rosenberg, Long, Dorrans, El Ghannassy

feels like one of the worst forums tbh. anytime anyone makes an indepth comment or anything without an emoticon they get shot down in threads. thought the response to liams post was not on.

I've received an apology from one of the members who I suspect was embarrassed at the reaction of some of the posters. Depending on the next few replies, I probably won't bother with this weeks edition. It'll take me hours to get through half the profanity posts to get to the actual replies - Weren't expecting that from the Sunderland supporters if I'm honest. To be told to **** off for asking a few questions? Pfft.

What baffled me the most was the fact that they just won at Craven Cottage, ok it was 10 men but its still the hardest place to get a result in the premier league IMO, also really p***** me off the amount of threads they put on there saying we are a big club and 'we should sign WBA's players, they'll definitely come to us because wer'e the mighty Sunderland. W***** >:(

Don't blame you mate if i'm honest, never thought Sunderland fans were complete di*ks if i'm honest. Most of them are probably just jealous they think they have a world class manager (yeah right), and we picked up a No.2 who was no good and we were relegation fodder this year according to them, after hearing that, i hope they go down along with villa and rot in the championship. Wim a big club my backside.

Liam, have you tried the Not606 board? May get a more positive response.

I am generally surprised because the Sunderland fans I've met are generally all right blokes. That really did surprise me.

Suprised at the reaction, a mate I used to work with is a Sunderland fan and I went to a few games with him a few years ago and they seemed good set of fans, never had a problem with them in the past, seemed to have changed and have a few pillocks these days

Surprised by this, always had Sunderland fans down as a decent bunch.

Let's hope we go and give them a beating on Saturday, then they'll have a reason to dislike us  ;)

Ay up, I'm on the back end of those comments, you'll be denting my pride here!  ;D

If I'd have wound them up, I could understand. But to be jealous of our position in the league, and then resort to childish insults is quite frankly embarrassing. I would have received a much better welcome on the mix and that is saying something!
